If he did, what would happen given the current state of the country? Would it calm things down or yet again would Farage and co. send out his henchmen to wreck our communities spreading the betrayal narrative? And again, what do you think the opinion of the EU would be, especially if the mere mention of rejoin ferments violent social unrest? What's the point of making an argument for something that is essentially untenable for decades? Farage broke what we had, probably irreversibly in our life times. And despite this, he is continuing to dominate the narrative and destroy the country. I hate the cunt with every fibre of my being. My anger and hatred are directed solely at hime and his accomplices, not people like Starmer who need a lot of time to move the ship in the right direction imo. Not 4 weeks. Starmer is literally fire fighting the damage the tories have done currently.

Yes, that would have made a picture for the joke.

Think some of the 20 inch ones are that. But 20 inches is a lot tbf.

Why Gemmill's favourite pizza place, I scream for pizza, will not take off in their new place near CT's home in Sunderland, in the Sheepfolds flagship development.

Ahhh, two-tier policing, the latest buzzword from the the facists. 95% of immigration is legal. Therefore, how can it be uncontrolled? I can see a way around this. Maybe if we had a pooled Labour market with our European peers, we could allow young people to move throughout the continent to fill labour gaps where it is needed? This would happen organically according to market forces, and we all know the right wingers love the market, right? (Except Liz Truss). People of a similar culture could do seasonable jobs in agriculuture or hospitality, or even the shit factory jobs no British person want to do like food processing? Or provide social care for our elderly or medical care for the NHS? And then, they could freely move back once the job isn't needed any more or they have made enough money. And this could be reciprocal, giving the chance for our own kids to experience another European country? And we could have regulatory alignment and abolish all tariff and non-tariff barriers for goods while we are at it. Everybody would be a winner. Maybe we could call this the single market or something? Maybe I should propose this to Nigel to see what he thinks? Or maybe this cunt should just fuck off once and for all.

Random, just reading about the youngest chess grand master the UK has ever had there, this 16 year old indian lad. He was going to get deported with his family but Rachel Reeves intervened on the basis hge could be a Wrold champion and national asset. Anyway, I never knew that Reeves herself was a junior national chess champion. As someone who struggled to master chess, and eventually gave up because my brain couldn't cope, this actually impresses me. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/aug/03/rachel-reeves-challenges-rishi-sunak-to-game-of-chess-amid-reports-of-plan-to-revive-game

Kind of lost a bit of interest in the 100m, especially with no GB interest. We're never gonna see another Bolt in our life times are we? I noticed yesterday that the women's record is still from 1988 from Florence Griffith Joyner. 36 years is a long time for a record to stand. Correct me if I'm worng, but there's some suspicion on her because of her cause of death?

Good article. Violent crime actually has been decreasing in nearly all western societies for decades. Lots of theories about this, from the removal of lead from petrol to technological devices removing boredom. This is a generational observation which could be reversing, I don't know. I remember in the 1980s it was almost inevitable if you wentoout on a Saturday night you would witness some pretty gruesome violence. Burlgaries and car theft have also gone down hugely, as electronic devices from houses are worth less and cars are much harder to steal. Do you remember what these crimes were like in the 90s? Some crimes have gone up hugely though. Fraud. Recently, shoplifitng. And as you point out, the spread of crime is not even. Some of those communities in Boro I would be frightened to even walk through in daylight. Ironically for me though, I always feel safe in Asian communities. The root causes of the situation to me seem to be: Genuine concern with the cost of living crisis and a loss of work opportunities in mainly industrial northern towns and cities. A lack of education and abitility to think critically in the inhabitants of these left behind places. Rise of demagogues expoliting the above. These have always been there, but... Widespread use of social media to promote lies, conspiracy theories, and right wing rhetoric. Coupled with a lack of trust in MSM and politicians. For me, probably the most key of these is the lack of people to be able to understand and appraise information. I would immediately make this a mandatory requirement in schools. We won't get the benefit from that for 20 years though. Christ knows what society will be like by then.

Sympathise with that. Nearly all my industry is based in London and the home counties. If I had been wiling to move at a young age I would have a different career now I'm sure. But I wasn't. Fortunately home working is removing a lot of these barriers now anyway (if you have a desk based job obviously).

Not to want to sound like Norman Tebbit here but what did he do? There are other opportunities available, whether that be moving location to use his trade (presumably not a problem if he has been footloose in the navy) or using some saved brass to get some extra qualifications. Unfortunately no industry is permanent and nowadays you have to be somewhat flexible. I know a couple of lads from the navy who have trained their way to great jobs, better than me, the twats.

Just read this. What a fucking disgusting tweet. Joking about arson, then making ridiculous partisan comments about the mess his party and he literally created. Absolute scum.
-
It's clearly race hatred. That can't be disputed. And he's declaring war. Who against? Presumably against the elected government. Which is treason. I'll be very surprised if he is not arrested, charged, and likely does jail time. I hope they put him in a cell with other wannabe terrorists, preferably Islamic ones.

So is Fox. Pretty sure this could be construed as incitement to riot and he could go down for this.
-
Very funny. Just don't know how they can identify these scum bags to door knock them. Perhaps ask Amazon and eBay for their data on who's been buying masks and balaclavas the past few days.

Boro scum, smashing up normal people's cars and houses. I thought this place had benefitted from Houchen's pork barreling too? I think covering your face in public needs to be made an arrestible offence too.
-
I mean this is all well and good but he's talking about Slough?

The people breaking into the hotel is grim as is the tweet itself and the responses.

I'm going swimming today, for leisure more than exercise. What do I need a watch in a pool for though?

First, I agree with strawb, Star Wars was never that great objectively, but you have to take it in context, they were unique for the time. Mainly kids who enjoyed them but are they now? I think there was potential to do something with this franchise but Disney completely fucked it. As for you my simian friend, no, you're wrong. I don't give a shit about canon. They are all incredibly unoriginal, badly written, characterised and acted. Rogue one was boring. Solo was fucking dreadful. The only series I enjoyed at all was the Kenobi one, but that whole story has no logical consistency at all. I only watch these because for some inexplicable reason Mrs Rents likes them. But intergalactic whales and wookie jedi? Just fuck off man.

Aye,. Am loving it. If this was football the screen at Castries would flash up there:

I'm thinking of getting one now I am getting fitter. Still not sure I like the idea of being constantly biomonitored though. Also nit convinced how accurate the biomonitoring is, not sure a watch can really measure your BP and do I want this information? Also, I pretty take my phone everywhere so not sure a watch adds much - can they use do Google pay etc when not paired to your phone? I'll probably try to get an offer to get a wearable with my next phone purchase. But this phone has proven so good that's probably a couple of years away.

Good stuff.

Anybody watching the latest heap of shite from Disney on the star wars universe? The Acolyte. Well and truly jumped the shark with wookie jedi lords. Absolute garbage. Disney paid billions for this franchise and haven't produced a single minute of merit from it.

I googled reviews of her removal company out of curiosity. 1/5 stars. Some reviews added today like the ones below but even the historical ones are shite. I don't think she'll have a company any more like. https://m.yelp.co.uk/biz/leannes-removals-sunderland
