I hope you're wrong but fear you aren't.

The idea of two nuclear armed countries fighting each other is preposterous. If Russia attacks NATO, all bets are off. I can't envisage any scenario where we need conscription to put boots on the ground.

With specific respect to an unintended consequence of lockdown, something that has never happened before in the history of the UK. You might just think this is common sense with your stereotypes (dunno why you picked on Tarquin rather Jordan mind, I can assure you the Tarquins will be fine), so we don't need to bother measuring this effect or directly countering it, but honestly, by spending an absolutely relative tiny amount on research like this we can save millions using targetted preventative strategies. This is what a grown up country should do, it's by ignoring the root cause of obesity and diseases like diabetes we have ended up where we are under the tories. Honestly mate, you sound like my Mum who in turn sounds like GBeeber.

I use knives for chopping stuff. I can't think of a single time I've needed to stab something. This is kitchen knives I'm talking about. Zombie knives and the like don't really have a legitimate function in places like the UK. Maybe they do in the wilds of New Zealand though.

Whoah, calm down Mr Angry. I'm guessing you don't listen to music first thing either because it maes you angry? I listened to some of this and thought i was an interesting study. The actual findings of the study, which were not obvious at least to me, was that the loss of physical activity in lockdown was permanent and is projected to cost the NHS billions of pounds in the future. Counteracting it now could reduce this impact. Is that worthy aof a research grant? I'd say yes personally. The knife crime bit I missed, but if you're getting angry about Rachael Burdon then you need to be on beta blockers mate! They had another knife crime piece yesterday where some person pointed out nobody uses the pointy bit of a knife for legitimate purposes. If all knives were made with blunt ends (still sharp edges) you could reduce fatalities by 50%. Again, I thought it was interesting enough.

STEVEN TAYLOR has turned down a new five-year contract
Renton replied to Sever07's topic in Newcastle Forum
Just looked it up and he is the producer of a feature length documentary called "We are the Geordies" starring no less than Scud. Now, this has an IMDb rating of 8.9 which puts in the top 10 greatest films of all time, just ahead of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". I think it's therefore fair to say he is in fact a world class film producer, wouldn't you agree? -

Show some respect to the "best coach in the Premier League". His famous victory against West Ham will live long in the memory and his Liinkedin page. -
Not remotely disingenous to remove his record for assists, you know, for a defensive player famous for his assists?

I want to continue this line of mockery but can't think of any other famous mackem. James Bolam, Wearside Jack, hmmmm. Oh Yeah. "A was just half way through a wank thinking about the lovely Lauren Laverne, then a remembered from somewhere at the back of my heed she's a fan of massive lads. From vinegar strokes to CT's button mushroom in 5 seconds I can tell yer, can't use it for anything other than pissing now."

Got a PM, in confidence, from Wykiki, telling me his name is Richard Bottomgape. I'm scoobied about how we can use that?

I fear the antipodean virus that makes people speak irrelevant gibberish may have infected these shores.

I also see it is the six rightwing conservative families now as they have just launched another one, "Popcon"! ["Popular Conservatism"] Jesus titty swinging christ on a bike.

This tweet sums up why the country is in limbo right now.
-
Yeah, probably. There is a tipping point where the situation is unrecoverable though and they go extinct. Unlikely, but it's what I'm hoping for.

And Jackie Milburn (as a child).

I know you're probably joking, It's the right wing loons on Sunak's case and they despise Cameron. Plus choosing an unelected Lord as PM would surely be a piss take too far. Can't see the one nationers going for Badenoch. Guess that would leave Mordaunt. But I also can't see the rump of the party backing a vote of no confidence anyway. Meanwhile this is more damaging for the party. 🍿

Yeah. Gosforth is County Northumberland marra so not NUFC. So is Wallsend come to that. Gateshead though is County Durham so is SAFC marra.
-
So, if CLarke gets his way, who the fuck would they get as PM? Genuinely hoping they do this.
-
Yeah, I agree. Hoy his name up Wykiki, and any other details that might help (like his e-mail address) and the toontastic crew will see what they can up with for you. 👍

Some tory cow on R5 berating the country "going to the dogs" and "losing British values". The solution is more tories apparently.

Such odd people. Random thread pops up about Mark Knoppfler, don't know why. Third post down: There follows a long thread bashing Newcastle, death threats to Sam Fender, and talk of "music washing".* * In fairness, not all of them, but a sizable amount so fuck them. Edit: Apologies, I can see this was a historical thread. It was bumped because his new album references the Tyne apparently. Fewmin.

Yeah, that rings a bell.

It's an interesting collaboration. Think Albarn is probably credited more than Simonson for the actual music writing though, lyrics in particular. WOuld have like to have seen them in the local club.
