  1. Completely agree with the post and sentiment. I somehow always managed to avoid really hating ManU until now but my GOd what a bunch of cunts some of their fanbase is. Not all cos I'm currently sat in the office with a ManU fan and she's alright, but then she is a genuine manc and come from a family of ManU supporters so I've no truck with that. If you have to single out one player who has let us down in recent weeks its Wilson. He could have been the difference yesterday and I'm really questioning why Howe started him, must be doing something different in training I guess. Isak look like a fine player but I'm not convinced he's a number 9. It's difficult yt be successful without a proper centre forward. I'd like us to buy at least one quality player in this position. Biggest fear now is can we pick ourselves up, will this have released the pressuire or will apthy set in? I can't see a successful result for us at the Ethiad next week and by that time the gap between us and 4th might be menatally unassailable. And I know we should be delighted with a lower Euro spot, but this will bring its own issues next year. Oh well, at least I'm not hung over this morning, just full of cold instead, typical.
  2. Yeah, I don't get why the other player isn't interfering with play there, what's Karius supposed to do in that split second? Also, was it fuck a free kick.
  3. Honestly, of course you'd expect them to be happy, as I was in 2014, I don't want them to win anything. But if the roles were reversed I'd not be gloating, and I doubt we'd be creating threads literally hundreds of pages long. We hate each other, but one of us is progressive, looking forward, wanting the best for ourselves, whilst the other has defined themselves by us. Hence their sign off, FTM. Is there an equivalent of this anywhere else? Nearest I can think of is Ranger's Fuck the Pope but I doubt even any Scottish soap dodgers create threads purely for you sign up to this. It is decidedely bizarre behaviour.
  4. They cheer me up, they're fucking tapped. This is an example of that patheticness. Here's a thread where they queue up to type "FTM". I shit you not, that's the only purpose of the theead. 8 pages 147 FTMs at time of me posting this.
  5. I don't think anyone has the plucky loser mentality. It's a pisser, but what you going to do? I think recognising that this is the start of, not the end of, the journey is key. We'll be back soon and next time maybe will be favourites, and will win a trophy. That's not just cushioning the blow of this defeat, its my objective appraisal of the situation.
  6. 100% this, brilliantly put. Probably why, although I'm obviously disappointed and a bit down, I don't feel too bad really.
  7. Front page of the SMB below. That main thread is approaching 4000 posts. And it's the same on their hidden forum. I reckon our match today, where we were a bit unlucky to lose to ManU, has inspired close to 10,000 posts. Brings a new dimension to living your life vicariously. Keep on enjoying life in the lower leagues, you SMB.
  8. Yeah, true on reflection after seeing the second goal. You don't get to be good enough to play in a CL final by being shit.
  9. Btw any mancs on here, like @The Fish and the @greyman wherever he is, your city is a souless shit hole full of walking spice zombies and shit tower blocks that are clad with balsa wood and polystyrene. So there.
  10. Didn't it take Man City 5 years to win the FA cup after they were taken over? I know its hard but we have to be patient.
  11. Canny gutted I'm 52 years of age now and haven't seen us score in a Wembley final. Alright we scored in 76 but I don't remember that at all. Was there in 2000 when we scored against Chelsea in the semi before that cunt Poyet spoiled it. We were the better team then as well.
  12. Yeah, in an odd way it has been. The fact we are arguably the better team most this game should give us hope.
  13. Difficult to disagree. When was the last time we cam back from 2-0 down I wonder. Against Everton 4 years ago maybe? Longstaff dropped for Isak, not Wilson. Doesn't make sense to me.
