  1. I knew it! Well done for coming out at last. Edit: natch, beaten to it by the Ayatollah. CT is about as camp as they come mind.
  2. I dunno like. We went all out for it against Liverpool and fucked up badly, losing the game in 25 minutes. I think we can keep them at bay better by being a bit more circumspect and increase the tempo and get impact subs on second half. They should be more tired than us too which would point to this strategy. I'd treat this as an away match aginst a top side I think.
  3. So, I don't know the methodology of this polling, but apparently 60% of the population think the country is heading in the wrong direction (compared with only 18% thinking the contrary), and the MAJORITY (56%) of people now want to emigrate (or should I say ex-patriate?)! You really have to hand it to these tories. https://bylinetimes.com/2023/02/24/brexit-britain-half-of-brits-would-choose-to-leave-uk/
  4. She is a fucking fruit loop like. "Let them eat turni[p" and if they can't afford turnip "let them work harder". Not sure this is an election winning pledge like. Imagine having her on your front benches.
  5. This is funny from Ben Jennings of the Guardian. Took me a while to work out who the (lee)k was and why it was so cheap. And Sunak.
  6. Pretty sure you're one of the kale drinking lentil munching wokelists as well? Only difference is the ketamine.
  7. A lot of supermarkets are also sold out of turnips. Also:
  8. One loss is not falling off a cliff mind. Fuck it those manc twats couldn't even beat Barcelona last week, we'll knack them.
  9. Oh dear, I can see where this is heading.
  10. Very handy for, erm, cervical massages of stray courtesans without leaving material residue corroboarting ones whereabouts at the time. Or so says MF.
  11. Realist, because they're favourites. But we are not massive outsiders and I think we have a better chance than we did in 98 or 99. Anyway, chill, it's only a tinpot cup (if we lose).
  12. Remember a certain person's after pub snack was Dr Oetker's pizza.
  13. Let them eat turnips instead. This isn't parody, this is our government.
  14. Yeah, I know you're right and stage management is important. His approach just seems so piecemeal to me though when I think what we need is something radical. And if not now, then when? Like I say he'll get my vote cos he's not a tory, not because I believe in him any more.
  15. But with your latter sentence how do you deal with the boiled frog phenomenum? People don't seem to realise what is happening and we are still perpetually gaslit by the MSM. For instance I know of people who live in Spain and they say the winter has been entirely normal there this year. But the BBC has toed the line for days now shortages are because of the weather, showing library photos of a snowy Morocco. People just get used to it and accept what they are told. And then there are some rightwingers who think they have their "gotcha" moment because the RoI also has shortages. But nobody in the MSM will point out that Brexit also fucked up Ireland's supply chains. I mean, it was CT who I quoted yesterday (from years back) who laughed about the possibility that Brexit could ever be the cause of food shortages, specifically tomatoes. And when this happens, it s the weather innit. Or covid, Or Ukraine, whatever else, but not the precious Brexit even when YOU WERE WARNED THIS WOULD HAPPEN. I mean we know in 7 or 8 years time the average Poish person will be better off the average Brit. I find this staggering, but then the average Brit doesn't often take trips to Poland to find this out. Ignorance is bliss. We're truly screwed by out politics and media in this country.
  16. That's not the point though. He's just literally said he will grow our economy faster than that of Germany and the USA, those countries which are either a major part of, or are themselves, fucking economic global superpowers. How's little old UK, which has huge structural and trading problems relative to these countries, going to achieve this? Meaningless rhetoric (or lies if you are less polite), not much better than Truss. Just repeat "Green Energy Revolution" enough, or "Why can't that be us?" enough times and everything will be okay. I'm sure the answer will be in the manifesto., all we need to do is believe. Brexit is no longer even the main issue for me anyway, its a symptom not a cuase of our decline. It's our completely failed democracy that bothers me most. And he is seemingly completely unwilling to touch the sides of that.
  17. I respect where he came from and what he has achieved, and to some extent I understand why he is so cautious with the media now, but I find his rhetoric increasingly cowardly and frankly nauseating (like Shamima Begum today for instance). He knows people like me will still vote for him so seems to be happy just to take the piss. I'm just hoping he has more substance in office because these fucking three word soundbites aren't saving the country. At least recognise the multiple elephants in the room Keith you Arsenal-supporting nobhead.
  18. Good thread on why we are suffering food shortages and the EU are not. The MSM still reporting its nowt to do wqith Brexit when of course it fucking is. Exporters within the EU (like Spain) preferentially export to EU markets. Whilst those outside (like Morocco) will also prederentially supply their (by far) biggest market. Basic economics, we are left with the dregs. Worth remembering that this is whilst we are not even bothering to enforce our own regulatory borders . We can't ever do this now as the disruption would be too great*. Meaning we have no quality control and can't apply tariffs properly, resulting in billions lost tax revenue. But meanwhile the EU are more than happy to apply their own regulatory rules, much to the disbenefit of British exporters. What a fucking joke. * Or maybe not. https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/think-the-tomato-shortages-are-bad-you-aint-seen-nothing-yet/
