The old old days aye. Not the Mike Ashley old days though. No joy in that.

Apparently this Mayenda player they have, the one that for some reason hates Sam Fender, is going to every bit as good as Isak. I can't wait to partake in the several thousand posts thread on here when one of the top 6 try to poach him for 130 million quid.

Thread on Isak on the SMB, nearing 200 posts in an hour or so. Nothing unusual about that. Except this is the thread that replaced the thread which replaced the thread on Isak. There's now been over 4000 posts of mackem gloating over this over the course of less than week.

How very @Isegrim of you.

Article here. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/jul/25/alexander-isak-offered-600000-a-week-tax-free-deal-by-al-hilal?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other Fuck me you need to a qualified accountant spanner to understand how PSR works nowadays. Games gone

PIF may have to sanction big deals but they're not the brokers or negotiators man! Do you believe we bid for Etikite?
-
Your patter on this could be straight from the SMB. PIF are the owners, the financers, they have nothing to do with the micromanagement of the club and probably little to with it's macromanagement either. I think they'll stay invested as they like to have a hugely diverse portfolio. The WC will cost them magnitudes more money but history tells us it will leave no legacy. The Saudi league will never hold a fraction of the interest the EPL will. They may also get their hands on golf or boxing, but these are not as globally popular as football and the EPL is the domestic pinnacle of that. Clearly, we have issues with PSR and problems at the boardroom level. But there is no evidence to me PIF are disengaging and going to asset strip us. Given our constraints, we've come on faster than any reasonable person could have expected.

Oh shut up.

Let's see where the pieces fall. IF we signed both Sesko and Wissa and a couple of others it might not be a disaster short term and could be better long term. Also, as pointed out by Hope there, we were dire at the start of last season with Isak being particularly poor as allegedly his head wasn't right. Fucking tough start like and I really hope Isak isn't made to face SJP.

Thread on Isak on the SMB. Almost 1000 posts. Standard stuff. But this thread was started 24 hours ago to replace another thread (parsnipped due to public embarrassment) that itself was about 2000 posts long. So that's 3000 posts on an issue fuck all to do with SAFC in the space of a few days. An issue on whether we should cash in on a £100 M asset or not. Even by their insane standards, that's insane.

I asked Gemini to recreate this using Eddie Howe to replace Keegan and this is what it came up with. Tbf, surreal as it is, it probably is close to what NUFC's current comms team would come up with.
-
Not make bullshit up would be a start.
-
Keegan was the absolute master of communication too. Him coming out on the steps of the Milburn to talk directly to the fans is one of my fondest memories of him. How close he got.
-
Spot on that. Think NUFC and Labour share the same comms at the moment.
-
Headline writers dream.
-
Damn. That's probably too much for my wife not to notice to justify watching iPlayer abroad.
-
Btw, how easy is it to install a VPN and how much do they cost?
-
I note that ewerk is the first to discover this, at 8 in the morning.
-
That's better.

Am in the stage of the break up where I'm saying to myself "Didn't fancy her anyway, tits are too small" as I cry myself to sleep and wank over her.
-
No blame on the PSR constraints? Am not asking him to stay here for life and have an emotional connection, I am asking that he recognises the mentorship he has received that has made him and treats us with basic respect. Honestly though, we'll see. His Sweden record isn't great, is it? Could be that the set up here was more beneficial for him that he chooses to recognise. Shame.
-
Ateod it's just shear greed on Isak's side, with an element of ingratitude. NUFC and Eddie Howe made him the player he is today. Of course he has a shirt career and will want to maximise on that to an extent, but he owes us loyalty in making the transition as smooth as possible for us. As has been said, the timing fucking stinks. I've never wanted to screw over an ex-employer even when they've treated me badly (mind, that may be more about burning bridges). And this is more than just the club, it's the fans he's screwing. Remember this Alexander? Not many players will have tarnished their reputation with us in the way he has. Iirc Cole was not the one to instigate the ManU move, for instance. If he lands up in Liverpool I hope he flops.

Is that selling on clause legit? Ffs.
