It must save loads of time typing 'da' instead of 'the'.

Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)

Yee-haw! It's Jimbo! -
Does he play golf?
-
Really selling it

He's a lot better than I think most of us could've hoped for. I never get that excited about anything we do any more though. I haven't for years. It's all down the drain anyway if he can't keep us up and goes in the summer. Pleasantly surprised though, all the same.

It boils down to them being inept and not having the guts or nouse to be proactive. It was obvious we were in the shit irrespective of the result against Bournemouth but they were simply hoping we'd win so they didn't have to make a decision. The loss made the manager's position untenable and they still seemed utterly clueless. I get the distinct impression we're just happen to be lucky in that Benitez fancied the job because I have zero faith in Charnley and co to go out and get the right man.

McClaren could run you over and not stop and you'd still blame Ashley -

I think .com like to hoy the odd thing in like that. Ages ago they were ITK when Shepherd was still at the helm but they haven't had the inside track for ages. By mentioning something as vague as they have they can kid people they know shit without actually adding any meat to the bones. As Howay and DK have mentioned it would make no sense if someone else was picking the team and leaving out the new signings. -
New Monkey was named after the Blue Monkey I think. Not that I went raving / clubbing in Sunderland.

Surely not training with McClaren can only have a positive effect on the squad. -

If anyone has the inside track on exactly what is happening it'll be Lee Ryder. -

No one's excusing the club's behaviour but your line of reasoning was essentially that you hoped McClaren got a few more million out of the club because of the ridiculous dilly-dallying taking place. He's having to put up with a bit of shit for a few days in order to get the sort of payoff most of us would need to win the lottery to achieve. -

Have a fucking word with yourself. Every penny he's gotten and will get when sacked is more than he deserves. I bet he's at least £3m better off for doing an absolutely abysmal job in his time here -
If the likes of Moyes and Benitez are genuinely interested now, given our current predicament, it only reinforces how incompetent the club's hierarchy were in appointing McClaren in the first place.

Seems like a really intelligent family.
