My dad was at a talk-in he was doing up at Ashington Cricket Club the other day and reckons he comes across as a really nice, down to earth lad. Shame for him and us as he's come on leaps and bounds.

He (Eubank Snr) did mention it should've been stopped when talking between rounds I think, but I think it was a tough one for the ref because the cuts looked terrible but weren't bleeding into the eyes. It was only when the eye closed it was stopped (correctly). Obviously with hindsight you can argue it should've been stopped but it was a title fight and the lad was never out on his feet or anything. Such a tough kid because he took some great shots. Irrespective of all that Eubank Snr needs to take a back seat and remember it's not his career any more. This is, imo, another example of how he can't help but try and steal the limelight.

Buzz Killington strikes again.

Aye. Without a doubt. I can't remember exactly how he phrased it but it was clear during rounds that that was what he meant. To get a stoppage anyway. Eubank was clearly going to win the fight either way.

Norwich V Newcastle / Saturday / 3PM / Carrow Road

Basically what most other people are saying is that the one thing that gives us a chance is the new manager. The difference in opinion is whether, on balance, you think survival is more likely than relegation. It's not 'defeatist' to argue relegation is more likely at present because it clearly is. We all hope Benitez can get more out of the players and I think he probably can. It still might not be enough though. It's barely even an argument. Given that, at the very best, 4th bottom is probably as well as we can do then it's hardly being a miserable cunt thinking we might not get out of this. -

We obviously have a chance of getting out of it, but you'd be daft not to fancy us to go down. No wins in the last 5, 2nd worst goal difference in the league and 2nd bottom with only 8 games left. It's only the change of manager that's given me a glimmer of hope -
