Don't suppose you like the Jayhawks do you? Still occasionally listen to Hollywood Town Hall.

Just finished Hangover Square by Patrick Hamilton (quality) and started on Skagboys by Irvine Welsh.

Get over it.

I'd forgotten Paul Stewart ever played for them. He probably tries to.

Once went to see the mackems play Spurs at Roker Park in Canon League Division 1. Alan Brazil was playing for Spurs. Venison was playing for Sunderland.

I just found out my great-grandfather died at Auschwitz. He fell off a watchtower.

I remember it too, quality strike. Might've been Birmingham as I seem to remember him wearing blue but I don't think it was Derby for the reason PaddockLad gave. That's the only time I can remember Savage playing for them against us, i.e. in the Championship season. He played really well that night (think it was an evening game, the Derby County match that is). Edit: There you go: http://www.nufc.com/html/lcfch.html -
I didn't say we should be so it's moot.

Even better. Getting into loads of bother for trying and failing to have an illicit affair.

Just noticed your sig, Meenz

Can't say I've any sympathy for any of them like.

Don't think the penny's dropped beyond Ashley shitting himself at the end of last season. Priorities haven't changed, just the approach and probably then just in the short terms. Even that's against a backdrop of an improved TV deal. I doubt we'll be amongst the top spenders every summer / transfer window.

Not just the quality of the players either.

I think it was a nasty lie to start but repeating it just after he died was despicable. I also remember the Telegraph did an article slagging him off just after he'd died too. It also repeatedly the lie about the donkey jacket and even included a photo of him wearing the jacket (which clearly wasn't a donkey jacket). I know the Telegraph is pretty right wing but if a 'quality' newspaper like that is prepared to be so economical with the truth then it's a pretty sad state of affairs I reckon.

Saw Heseltine repeat the lie on TV just after Foot's death as well. What a cunt. It was a deliberate lie though I think, rather than a genuine mistake. At the time and subsequently. Edit: In any case, you could've put Foot in an Armani suit and he'd have looked like a right clip in the eccentric professor mould. Not suggesting there's anything wrong with that btw.
