  1. Think it might have been when I was about 15 on a Saturday afternoon in 'Le Cafe Noir', which was a hilarious-named wine bar type place situated next to where the escalators were in the then newly completed Eldon Gardens. That whole area was later Scruffy Murphy's then The Goose in the Garden. Thought I was holding it together quite well when I got home until my Mam took one look at me, smelt me breath and said, with barely contained disdain "You smell like your Dad. Where have you been?"
  2. Remember this as well in the Viz 'Tatalogue':
  3. Aye, all this crack about Corbyn tearing the party apart is more "we're going to tear it apart when he wins".
  4. I guess that's why Corbyn is seen as such a radical, i.e. compared to the rest, when in fact he's nothing of the sort. I also think he might appeal to the under 25s, the demographic which votes the least. If you can appeal to a large proportion of those who didn't vote, you're onto something. The crack about not being able to win from the left is a myth perpetuated by the same people who want you to believe austerity is a necessity and for similar reasons I think.
  5. I agree. But I thought that about Yanga-Mbiwa too and that worked out well.
  6. I know but they're fucking massive all the same.
  7. Remember I had to catch a huntsman spider in our 'rainforest hut' 3 nights running up in TNQ in Aus. I was half cut on each occasion like, which helped. CT (Paul Hogan voice), that's not a spider.
  8. Aye. That's not going to happen all the time though.
  9. Forgot about that. The way he stayed down as well
  10. And none of them were centre-halves either. Not many players less than 6ft spring to mind who've done well in that position playing in the top flight over here. I can see it being an issue given it caused the odd problem against a side not exactly renowned for their physicality. .
  11. You might think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.
  12. Quite intrigued by that Wayward Pines Matt Dillon is in. Sounds a bit Twin Peaks.
  13. I always thought he was a right back. Problem was, we needed a left back. I know he could play there but, despite the patter when he arrived, he was definitely more comfortable on his right.
  14. The big issue here is where does one put a space between sentences.
