Think it might have been when I was about 15 on a Saturday afternoon in 'Le Cafe Noir', which was a hilarious-named wine bar type place situated next to where the escalators were in the then newly completed Eldon Gardens. That whole area was later Scruffy Murphy's then The Goose in the Garden. I guess that's why Corbyn is seen as such a radical, i.e. compared to the rest, when in fact he's nothing of the sort. I also think he might appeal to the under 25s, the demographic which votes the least. If you can appeal to a large proportion of those who didn't vote, you're onto something. The crack about not being able to win from the left is a myth perpetuated by the same people who want you to believe austerity is a necessity and for similar reasons I think.
