Lord Scottish Son of a Swiss Mountain (that cryptic enough Ant?) was on the list iirc. I think Ted Heath might've been on it too.

Me mate's dad (now deceased) used to be in the Navy. The only subjects they couldn't discuss at meal times were politics and religion as they were the two guaranteed to cause fights.

I think there were rumours going around for years. I've read some stuff and listened to stuff Icke has said and I don't think he knew anything. I think he jumps on bandwagons to sell his books. That's not to suggest this cynicism makes him sane btw. As an example, he used to have a list of all these people who were paedos and shape-shifting lizards that appeared on his website. He also reckons he'd been telling anyone who'd listen for years that Jimmy Savile was a serial abuser. What doesn't make sense is that Savile wasn't on this list and there's no record of him mentioning Savile in public until after his death. He also reckons he first heard about Savile in the late 90s which is unlikely given he worked at the BBC in the 80s when, seemingly, everyone working heard a few stories about his penchant for young lasses (at the very least). It would appear there is some substance to a lot of the rumours doing the rounds though, I just think Icke is a massive fraud. And a fucking looney.

Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)

Do you believe in time travel? -
The tiny proportion of the population who had the vote made Cromwell an MP. He was never elected Lord Protector in a general election though. He effectively seized power using the military, his being a military commander by that stage and was subsequently brought to power by his fellow coup leaders. All of which took place about 150 years before the French Revolution or the existence of America as an independent country. Other than that though....

George Clooney is basically Buzz Lightyear in it, isn't he?

You asked for an example of a scenario which doesn't exist and never has done, didn't you? You're now attempting to take no one giving you an example as some sort of victory. I did want a discussion as it happens. Or an answer anyway. You just rolled out your list of cliches, none of which actually addressed what I asked. And then you try and get personal, because you're rattled. You're not even very good at that.
-
You always resort to this sort of thing when you can't answer a straightforward question.
-
The difference between a real world scenario and an imaginary one lost on no one but you.
-
That didn't answer my question. No surprise there.

2 million more jobs, cuts and austerity well in place yet public borrowing continues to increase in monetary terms and as a %-age of GDP. Something doesn't add up.
-
Bit daft to just argue income tax should be low irrespective of the consequences. Almost as daft as arguing the economy is successful and the cuts and austerity are working at the same time as the gross national debt spiraling out of control and at level which is almost double what it was when Labour were last in power. You heavily criticised Labour for overspending on public services yet you're not doing the same to a government which has actually borrowed (and is continue to borrow) much more whilst at the same time using some of that money to fund tax cuts. Why the approval of this short-termism from this government?
-
Following 'advice'. And not only that but can the public buy the shares at this low price? You know, the people who technically bought them anyway. Oh no. They were just for the City on this occasion.
-
Great show. I mean film.
-
I didn't watch that but who the fuck was in it if he won? Ghenghis Khan, Stalin, Hitler and Essembee?
-
If, as I presume is the case, you think the cuts and the austerity measures are necessary, why do you think income tax cuts for everyone are a good idea and how does those two competing views marry up?

Reminded me of being out on the piss once and about 3 or 4 of us ending up back at some lasses house. She had (what would've been VHS copies of) Joe Pasquale and Jim Davidson stand-up gigs. Amongst others. Probably included Hale and Pace. Joe Pasquale man

Can't actually remember any of that. The one with the 'tache just pulled 'funny' faces is all I seem to recall.

There's that serious debate this thread was missing.

She's not really. She just totally irrelevant and being made out to be something she isn't, i.e. a 'national treasure'.
