Over a decade, then a bit less. It was āfunnyā because there were 3 directors. 2 major shareholders and a minor one. One of the former, who was a sound fella, retired after his grandson was diagnosed with autism and the place changed almost overnight. Ironically the big customer was lost because of the minor shareholder. Who is still there of course It all worked out for the best though

Where I used to work I got two weeks paid paternity at the paltry statutory level. Any additional was unpaid. So for eldest then the twins thatās all I took / all I could afford. Then when they temporarily lost a big customer they instantly made about two thirds of the workforce (me included) redundant at the statutory rates again. Itās quite a small company (c. 20 people before that happened). Funny how you find out what people are really like. And one of the directors let slip they had about Ā£5m quid in the company bank account just before I left. Good fucking riddance in the end but it didnāt feel like that at the time. Anyway, sorry to hijack your announcement. Congratulations, mate

@trophyshy I know you donāt get out much, mate. And you probably overdid it with the Best Scotch (weāve all been there). But maybe keep your head down for a while. Northumbria police have just released this footage of someone theyād like to talk to in connection with an incident at todayās match:

Beale is contracted until June ā26 iirc. They are such a basket case of a club

That said, the actual polling by constituency suggests an annihilation (although not on that scale). And btw, thatās on the back of boundary changes that were supposed to help the Tories
-
Aye. I think theyāll have used opinion polls, like you say, for the other 3 nations and then extrapolated the by election result / swing for England as a whole. And, as Renton points out, it even says itās just for fun

You ever considered the possibility listening to the radio causes you undue amounts of stress?

Apart from it not showing that, governments pretty much always lose elections. Even in 97 that was the case. Floating voters donāt say to themselves āthings are good but the opposition has better policiesā. Even the turnout was standard for by-elections. And whilst by-elections are not always great indicators for a general election, weāre well into the final year before another GE. There are literally no positives from a government POV. Also, as you point out, Sunak is just repeating himself at this point

Heās bloody loyal! Ok?

Also funny when you consider the people who made it are actual Sunderland fans
