It’s fucking absolutely typical that the ICC have eventually got a World Cup right, in the sense that the format has allowed so-called lesser nations to have a genuine chance to progress through the tournament. Then at the same time have absolutely fixed it so the Indian team has a schedule set up for them to win and know exactly where and when they were playing, irrespective of what position they were in their groups. Obviously they had to qualify but it has been heavily skewed in their favour

Haven’t been to Rome, only the outskirts and have also flown over it. But I’m quite into history and architecture and lap up any documentaries etc about that sort of thing. The Pantheon must be one of the most incredible buildings ever constructed. When you think of the sophistication, strength of the structure and its age. The Coliseum too and the stuff they think they may have actually been able to do. Including flooding (and subsequently draining in very little time) the whole fucking thing to reenact naval battles. Absolutely mind blowing.

Anyway it’s about how 2019 was wholly exceptional due to the perceived personality of Corbyn and Brexit. And how Labour shouldn’t use it as a baseline for this election. It basically argues there are no safe Tory seats but Labour are playing it too safe. Sticking to what it originally believed were the battleground seats in terms of canvassing resources. I’m not sure the leadership could be convinced it’s worth the risk. But it’s quite crazy to think the ridiculous lead they have and predicted majority could be even better
