Btw, I used to have a Saturday job at a supermarket when I was a kid. Co-op Benton Hypermarket which is now an Asda. The Saturday before Xmas was fucking insane, man. All the tills on and queues for them stretching down the aisles. Some people with two trolleys absolutely rammed. People nearly coming to blows over the last packet of brandy butter on the shelves and all that and buying 12 pints of milk. Couldn’t get my head round it then or now.

It’s mental. Even if they fixed the issue tomorrow (it’s not fixable but they could’ve managed it miles better) they’d still be decimated at a general election. Apart from highlighting their callousness it just demonstrates, in glorious technicolour, their absolute incompetence. Both in terms of the relentless pursuit of a policy that wouldn’t save them anyway and also, not having the ability to tackle the issue in the first place. I fucking hate them so much

At work we’re supposed to name files with the prefix YYYY-MM-DD. Which (because computers recognise that as a number and the newer the date, the bigger the number) means they’re in reverse date order. Where it falls down is hardly anyone remembering to do and / or get their head round it

Seriously? why though? Even the slightest hint of the smell of actual vomit makes me gag. When the kids were younger I didn’t mind changing nappies and I’ve picked up plenty dog shits from the garden. Whilst not exactly pleasant of course. But the bairns’ (or dogs’) puke. Actually just reminded me of going on holiday to Florida one time when I was young. 3 weeks in Orlando with my parents, sister plus my uncle’s wife and kids. My younger cousin, who is still a greedy cunt in almost every respect, went OTT on the ice cream at one of those all you can eat places (Sizzler’s iirc). After his third or fourth sundae (after about four plates of other food), he puked all over the back of the minibus we were sharing for the duration. Cue the next two and a half weeks spent whilst travelling to various theme parks and beaches in there with the gorgeous aroma of vomit, disinfectant and butterscotch syrup
