I can’t believe the consensus on RTG re: Ballard having a good game btw. You fucking what? Three absolute clangers. One should’ve seen him see red and two which resulted in goals. Even if he’d been outstanding otherwise, which he wasn’t, that would have been completely cancelled and then some. They’re so fucking weird on there like.

I don’t know if anyone is lucky enough to follow Exile on Twitter. But it is now 2,995 days since Sunderland beat Newcastle

I do get all that and don’t disagree really. It was more the rationale behind why I think they won’t spend a lot in January. I thought that’s what you were getting at, ie signing players as opposed to not selling Bruno. Re: selling him, I think they might decide to do it because it’s frees up loads of spending power in the summer. Because those coming in, if I understand it right, would have their fees etc. spread over their contract lengths (up to 5 years or whatever it is). Whereas the Bruno money is all factored into one year. All conjecture of course. And from a purely football pov, I 100% agree that keeping Bruno is the right thing to do.

Not sure it’s the case there isn’t any wriggle room. Rather that because of FFP and the fact anything we do will be scrutinised more than at any other club, it’s the case that spending a lot in January impacts what we can do next summer. And the latter is definitely the best time to do business. Those in charge will be looking at it long term. It’s not a great state of affairs in terms of form etc. but the worst that’ll happen (you’d imagine) is a lower mid-table finish. It’s not like that first window when we were staring down the barrel of relegation.

Rather them than an English club I suppose. I’d hate to see him leave but FFP is the reason I think he’ll go if the bid comes in. In fact, if it’s right it can’t be activated until the summer then they might even bid more than that to jump in now if they really want him.

He’s an English rugby union player. I’m not sure what you were expecting

I had that toy car too. I used to love the show but all I can really remember is Huggy Bear, the cardigan and the the opening and closing titles, especially Hutch leaping onto the the roof of a car and landing arse first for no apparent reason. And loads of bits of paper flying around as they drove at high speed down some back alleys then did some donuts

Yeah, a brilliant polemicist but too idealistic. And he’d definitely lost the plot in later years.

Aye. Good spot. I was taking the piss like, obviously. Erm, honest

Looks to me like they’ve sold their souls, albeit for free, and it’s no longer their club.

If he loses the next three I think he’ll get the bullet. That’s not me saying he should, just what I think will probably happen. Hopefully we won’t find out

Nah. That’s the correct spelling in relation to AC Milan. Founded by an Englishman, hence the anglicised spelling. Think it was originally the Milan Football and Cricket club or something like that. Although it’s pronounced with an Italian accent over there - “Meelan”

Aye. As soon as I found out he’s a Man Utd fan I thought the fat little cunt can get to fuck.
