When Bob Murray was on the telly recently promoting his bewk (available in all discount bookshops in time for Xmas) he was slating Ellis Short whilst licking KLD’s hoop and saying what a great owner / custodian of the club he was. I assume that’s so he’s still a guest of honour when he fancies it on match days. Short made some horrendous mistakes of course but how the fuck anyone could not spot the red flags with the current lot and their ‘model’ is beyond me. Mind, this was back when Mowbray had them playing like early 70s Ajax, so it may have clouded his judgement slightly

Re: Aubergines, if you do melanzane alla parmigiana properly it’s a fanny on but really nice. Goes lush with pasta in a spicy tomato sauce too (aubergines that is)

We’re very early in a long term ‘project’. Don’t really like that term in relation to us but I suppose it’s what it is. It was fleeting and less sustainable under Robson and KK for reasons we don’t really need to go in to. That was a kick in the stotts but seriously competing for trophies for the foreseeable is a very real prospect. We’re only disappointed with recent results because we’re so far ahead of schedule.

I know, I was there but you asked who Milan beat. I think that Milan legends side did the rounds as almost a proper team. They were ridiculously fit and took it very seriously. Billy Costacurta played in a defensive midfield role and basically shit down every attack. It was impressive from a fitness pov but it absolutely sucked any joy out of what was meant to be a bit of fun
