  1. Also @ fish trying to rekindle the Robert v Ginola debate
  2. Went down in instalments. As Big Racist Ron would say
  3. He was definitely trying to hit the opposition player I once saw him try that with Lauren v Arsenal from point blank range. He missed them too Lauren (who I definitely think would have won if it came to a fight) did not look best pleased
  4. I think it’s a very marginal call either way. Agree too there’s not that much difference between getting in two strikers or one plus a top midfielder. If we had to sell anyone, players like Joelinton are relatively easy to replace.
  5. Disagree. We’d need to buy two strikers then, Shirley. I’m not sure we need to sell anyone, mind. As a lot of the press etc seem to assume is the case.
  6. I think Foden will play as he’s started the last few games iirc. But it’s ridiculous how well he’s had to play to get to that point where Southgate’s hand has been forced
  7. Think it’s poor management by Southgate in terms of motivation for Phillips and other players. The Pep comments about his weight and his performances since going to West Ham smacks a bit of a player not giving a shit. You can see how that could happen with the way things panned out. And I’m not saying it means he’s a bad apple. But to reward a player off the back of that by picking him in England squads and starting him? Plus what it says to players doing well who can’t get in the squads. Particularly when it’s one of the most talented group of players England has ever had
  8. I liked Carmy’s character. Like he was a bit if a dweeb / loner and found this obsession with food which lifted him out of the shadow of his much cooler brother. I also got the bit about how making food for people is a really nice thing to do. Even if I could never be a chef / handle the intensity. Not sure where it’ll go from here on. I hope it doesn’t turn into another one where they just string it out because it’s popular. The Xmas dinner episode was really well done too btw
  9. Probably need to look at better value overseas because we definitely need another striker and that’s not going to come cheap.
  10. That coke addiction and trips to Turkey to get his teeth done aren’t going to pay for themselves
  11. Watched all bar the last episode of The Bear. The awful adult-orientated rock soundtrack is the only thing I don’t like about it so far. Also well into season 3 of the sopranos. I think that’s the season when it gets really fucking good. Even though the first two series blows pretty much everything else away
  12. Tbf, if she’d been PM for longer than what was effectively a fortnight then she’d have had an even lower rating
  13. Good chance he’ll step down before the following GE. Agreed
  14. as I was posting that I did also think that was a distinct possibility
  15. Bookies seem to reckon autumn / winter still. I think that’s likely actually. The game’s up anyway. Fortunately for him, Richmond is so rammed with Tory cunts he’ll probably retain his seat whatever happens. The staying until the bitter end allows him to be PM for a little bit longer. I also think his only really caring about himself even extends to his not giving two fucks about the Tory party. They, whether that be the members or the parliamentary party, seem to have nothing but disdain for him. I also think it’ll look terrible and like he’s scared to hold an election.
  16. And constantly complain about potholes, a lack of police on the beat, the courts backlog, serious offenders not going to prison, the asylum seekers being housed in hotels because there’s not enough people to process the claims, hospital waiting lists, etc
  17. She’s a self-serving cunt.
  18. Can’t remember who said it but someone mentioned that Howe would’ve kept him and used him as an impact player but for FFP. It would have been interesting to see how that panned out as you’d have to think he’d have seen plenty of time on the pitch this season. I never rated him as highly as some but also wish him all the best too
  19. Makes you wonder how they managed to keep so many clean sheets
  20. He’ll play two holding midfielders with Saka, Bellingham and Foden behind Kane imo.
  21. And, without really wanting to defend referees, they have enough on their plate at the top level. Official timekeeper would make sense. Won’t happen. A bit like my idea (although I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking it) where the var people make the call if they think a decision needs changing, it’s probably too sensible to catch on.
  22. If he can’t pick a side at the Euros with Foden and Bellingham starting, fitness permitting, he really needs to pack it in
