  1. While nostalgia can cloud your judgement, like Alzheimer’s and alcohol and substance abuse, even I can recall Manimal being fucking gash
  2. While Joelinton is not a centre forward, because he’s played there and played as a forward a lot, he’s great at receiving the ball with his back to goal in midfield and holding players off. He looked very poor doing that today which suggests a lack of fitness / fatigue. He was nowhere near his dynamic self. Even if it’s just ‘one of those days’ or he’s trained bit less because of a knock - take him off instead of the two you mention
  3. Aye but you fucking watch the match and how it’s unfolding and show some flexibility in the moment too.
  4. I can understand the logic behind not hoying Hall in but what the fuck was the logic in signing him if he doesn’t start at LB today? And then, equally, not come on when the player preferred to him had a mare in every aspect of his game?
  5. I think Bruno is absolutely class but the way to deal with him strolling about and reneging his responsibilities is definitely not keeping him on and it’s massively backfired. Not the only problem by a long shot today but he’s a big part of the reason the press doesn’t work atm. Because almost all game the front players have gone then the midfield didn’t know whether to stick or twist because Bruno has his finger up his arse. He’s a fucking liability atm in terms of screening the back 4. All high risk, little gain passes and then selling his teammates short
  6. That’s the problem. No control in there. I hope Howe, when he makes the necessary changes alters the shape a bit and doesn’t do his identikit winger for winger and striker for striker. We’ve actually had enough chances to be ahead mind. For all Brighton’s control. Agree with your earlier comments about Targett. He’s all at sea (not helped by the lack of midfield cohesion).
  7. If he’s determined to keep playing Bruno swap him with Tonali and push him forward a bit. I’d drop him atm though
  8. This is the second post I’ve read today that’s made me think of Catatonia (Moolderrr and Scuhleee). The first one was Purple Ake (Givin’ me roid rage). As you were.
  9. Like HMHM with Dickie Bird, I thought he was already dead. I wonder if we’ll get Diana paying her respects via a medium in the Daily Express. Or does she only comment on Brexit these days?
  10. I was really impressed with Amrabat at the World Cup. But Morocco played in a very well drilled, defensive style where despite his being nominally a defensive midfielder, he seemed to have had licence to go chasing the ball breaking up play. He did that very well but he didn’t create a lot and scores about a goal a season, if he’s lucky. I’m not sure how that would translate into a side like Man Utd, especially when they’re at home with how they’re expected to play etc. I must admit I haven’t seen loads of him at Fiorentina like
  11. The model is deliberately vague so they can keep selling it to their gullible fans. In reality it’s basically spending fuck all
  12. When Isak was signed there were sone suggestions he would replace Almiron (and Wilson in the longer term). Then Isak got injured and Almiron had a purple patch
  13. The highest fee ever payed by a third tier club iirc
  14. What’s Will Grigg up to these days?
  15. I was at that too. Milan took it ridiculously seriously
  16. Inter when Bellamy got sent off
  17. Off to near Skipton for 3 nights at a caravan park with the little parasites on Friday. Looking forward to Monday already
  18. Not to worry, Sunderland fans. He’ll go from being a £40m striker to a shite , League One-level player the instant he leaves you
  19. I saw someone arguing in there that the link between Co Durham and Sunderland is different because the latter was part of the former until about 50 years ago whereas Newcastle was made a county of itself in the 15th century or something. Like wtf? So a royal honour being bestowed on the city at a time when Sunderland didn’t even exist impacts heavily on who supports what team 600 years later. The sport in question being about 450 years from being invented. And loads of people were agreeing with / liking the posts. And yet there’s fucking loads more Newcastle supporters in County Durham than there are Sunderland fans in Northumberland. But they just can’t except their insignificance so they have to make all this shite up. And nobody bit them gives a flying fuck about it or gives it any credence. See the ‘big reveal’ about the origins of Athletic Bilbao that were just fucking tragic in every respect. They’re tapped and, like Renton, I find it absolutely fascinating.
