  1. CL over the league I’d imagine, if we’d never won the former and had won 4 out of the last 5 titles, or whatever it is. But us v Sunderland in the cup final? I think my heart would rule my head
  2. Aye. Although I suppose the lack of comeback will be right seeing as the conversation only took place in their head
  3. There was a Man City fan on 606 saying they’d rather win the FA Cup this year because it’s Man Utd in the final. He was saying there’s never been an all Manchester FA Cup final and it could be decades before there’s another one. To be honest I think they’ll win the lot from here but if it was us I think a lot of us would reason along similar lines.
  4. What a fucking carry on at Hillsborough btw. Mental
  5. I totally get what you’re saying btw. But it makes sense to me from a 4 games in a fortnight pov (or whatever) at the sharp end of the season. It would be different if they had a CL chance before tonight. But they only had mathematically. So they’re possibly looking at it from points haul as opposed to just the result tonight. Even 2 games ago and we’re faced with a different starting XI imo
  6. Is it though? Thinking of next season and virtually zero chance of a CL spot. In a game where the opposition are highly motivated and at home in a hostile atmosphere. Plus they’ve still got 3 games left and a Europa league spot still very much a priority. You’ve got to spread your chips a bit sometimes at the end of the season
  7. I think this means we’re coming third:
  8. What you on about? The weather’s shit in Manchester [/The Fish]
  9. And aye, it’s also because it’s an indirect pop at us. But him and his ilk are only bothered about this since our takeover anyway
  10. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/may/17/manchester-citys-inexorable-hard-power-crushes-real-madrid?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other I must confess to having zero time for Liew and consider him to be an abysmal journalist. He sums up much of The Guardian’s smug, upper middle class prejudice, masked as a concern for fighting the good fight. But even by his standards this is a bitter, hypocritically myopic pile of steaming horse shit. Chelsea’s years of oligarch money and the more recent disregard for financial fair play? Nah. Real Madrid. Poor fucking Real Madrid effectively being bankrolled by the heads of state for decades? Nah. Barcelona, the other half if the cartel, with their bribery, PEDs and reckless spending? Nah. Man Utd and their huge debts and several £100m spent on shite? The institutional corruption from Italy’s traditional big 3? Etc. But hang on, Man City aren’t playing fair. Just ignore the local academy kids who are integral to the side as well. Fucking do one, you picked last in the schoolyard, dweeby cunt
  11. That’s awful news, mate. Really sorry to hear that. Best of luck to your mam
  12. It is, in part, thanks to the likes of the Mail. I suppose they’ve always been a bit misty eyed about extreme right wing dictatorships though.
  13. There was a one a few weeks back about Ally McCoist who’d been saying nice things about them. Still having a soft spot for them.m etc. After some appreciative comments it quickly descended into him loving the Mags and how he was a traitor for having his testimonial against us
  14. Whatever you think of him (abd I have a lot of time for him) Labour could do with strategist like him now. The lack of vision is quite apparent
  15. Aye but it’s not like its heyday. You couldn’t get out the station without being accosted by several aggressive Glaswegian beggars or, upon leaving, cross the road for a greasy spoon breakfast without some old boiler asking ‘do you want business, love?’ I take it you went to Bagley’s on the odd occasion too?
  16. It’s funny like because it’s not all that long ago the area around King’s Cross (and the station itself) and to the north of there was a fucking tip.
  17. That side where it’s all just boxes btw. It looked shit back then
