  1. And now, let’s get the views of the people who really matter now - 3 Conservative party members
  2. Good to see Nicholas Witchell, BBC chief circumlocution and tautology correspondent, adding absolutely nothing of value, live from outside Buckingham Palace
  3. To be fair that was the only shot they could concoct where he didn’t look like a small child
  4. Everyone capable of critical thinking?
  5. Can we stretch the analogy to Sunak and the first round of the leadership contest being like Gary Bennett’s own goal v Swindon? Or is that just racist?
  6. They believed those who said they’d be richer though. I think Gemmill said a while back you can lie to people about the future but you can’t lie about what’s already happened to them (or words to that effect).
  7. The difference was, whilst loads of people were impacted by that, many voters were not. It’ll definitely result in the Tories closing the gap because that was inevitable anyway, given the unprecedented gap in the polls. But they can’t escape most people being palpably worse off.
  8. Daft thing is he won’t give a fuck if it kills the party for good. Which it hopefully will and very well might. Yet the members will still fucking lap it up. I think he’s nailed on to win at this point. And if Sunak had anything about him he’d resign the whip of a party whose members don’t like him purely because of the colour of his skin. Buckle in, lads
  9. Here’s someone taking the positives out of our march towards being a successful club
  10. What the fucking fuck is going on there?
  11. More guaranteed income gives you a lot more scope in terms of spending. Also being in the CL negates a lot of the ‘market value’ bollocks around commercial revenue too. You’d also think we’d properly join the club this time rather than just flirting with being a regular CL side like the squandered opportunities in the past.
  12. Would put us in a tremendous position in terms of FFP and making those commercial deals too. I’m not basing this on anything other than a theory but I wonder if (given the saga over the league approving the takeover), the ownership are being careful not to breach any FFP regulations. Perhaps thinking their wealth will place them under more scrutiny than would otherwise be the case. Getting into the CL this quickly would alleviate a lot of potential issues.
  13. Maintain this going into January and who knows? We’ll have the double bonus of having money to spend and players finding us a very attractive potential Champions League side. Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool are all misfiring to varying degrees. Isak and ASM to come back too. If Leicester are looking safe then maybe they’d be willing to cash in on Maddison and Tielemans
  14. Steve Baker and the ERG not supporting Johnson surely makes it difficult for him to have the required numbers. His saying he has when he hasn’t absolutely fits with his way of operating too.
  15. Aye, I was just thinking it says a lot about what the players thought of Gerrard / his methods
  16. Thought it had shut. Not that I’ve ever been. The Sunderland Aquatic Centre was one. The list isn’t on the Echo’s website any more, presumably due to ridicule. But I think it was the SoL ( because of the gigs there); the Empire; the Aquatic Centre; the Air Show and Sunderland having some beaches.
  17. It was on that shite list in the echo though. I think the justification was Strictly went on tour there or something. Which obviously tops the RSC going to the Theatre Royal every year. And it’s four things now because it included the air show
  18. Tbf the Sunderland Empire is one of the five, I mean four, reasons Sunderland is better than Newcastle.
  19. I want Johnson to win at this point but I think even his trying to run and then not having the required support is quite damaging and divisive, especially given the public backing he’s received from cunts like Brendan Clarke-Smith. I also agree Johnson saying he has 100 MPs’ support is a bluff.
  20. Mr Human Rights Watch himself, aka Exile is currently on holiday in…..Turkey
