if you agree with that I think thereās a very good chance you would already be voting for Trump. Is he just trying to alienate potential voters here?

All you haters can take the piss but have you seen the most recent accounts filed on Companies House?

Re: the first one, thatās obviously a bit tragic if he made that up but absolutely not in the same ball park as if it's true

Before I sign up - can I just check something? Would I have to listen to you?

Given you donāt have to isolate, Iād guess hardly else is, even in the unlikely event theyāve actually tested. Unless itās an excuse to work from home or pull out of a presidential election. I.e. they wonāt be cancelling any non-refundable holidays. Iād take CTās advice and be considerate. Wear a mask indoors, avoid too much contact where you can etc

Thereās the invisible concertina again

Iām guessing youād have heard about it already if he had.

I dunno, Vance seems pretty charismatic

I think the Republicans increased the amount of people on it to get a majority of pro-republican judges on there. So the argument goes Biden could / should do the same

Honestly thought he was already dead. šŖ¦

If Anderson is worth £35m then he is worth, erm⦠about half as much

Weaponising his daughter ffs. Heās an absolutely ghastly excuse for a man

Thatās the Appleby horse fair

My take is that āGetting one over on the leftā is the sort Owen Jones type rhetoric that could paralyse a Labour government that has a massive amount to sort out. Grow up you pathetic fucking cunts, or donāt complain if weāve got our own version of the Republican Party back in a term or two.

Apart from for selfish reasons I would like them to at least try that model, ie Carsley. Whatās the point in putting that into system into place if you donāt at least then give it a go?

I canāt see them being ranked last in the entire tournament though

I think they were more āIs that meant to be a joke or something?ā

Aye, fair point. I still think it would be massively tempting given the players at his disposal and that it might never come along again. Plus, his not being in that āeliteā category of managers. Yet, anyway. But he might never be. I guess we donāt know quite how uncertain things are behind the scenes at NUFC either. Anyway, I really hope Iām wrong and someone else gets the role

Itās absolutely the case that Howe will consider it really seriously. For the exact reasons Polarboy mentions. He might decide not to. But I honestly think Iād take it in his position. Even if heās a failure, the things heās done here and at Bournemouth had proved his credentials as an excellent club manager so heāll always have that to fall back on. Heās got a great opportunity here, but weāre kidding ourselves if we think the chance (and itās a real chance with this group of players) to win the World Cup with England isnāt a bigger draw for just about any manager

The difference back then was the club held your registration even after contract was over. So they could stop you moving but then put you on significantly worse terms. They could also demand a transfer fee, even though the contract was expired. So, in PLās example, Alan Ball couldāve seen his career effectively ended by not agreeing to the move. This is what happened to Jean-Marc Bosman, and precipitated his legal action. Ironically Bosman was left skint by it all, once his legal fees were taken into account and has never had any meaningful recompense since. Despite being largely responsible for making players and their agents much more powerful and rich as a result of what he did.

Heās trying to play the race card already, the fucking cunt

That probably came out well after heād left office Iām guessing? And I doubt heād have done much holding back if there had been something like what Hamas did in September. Not a defence of Biden really but the circumstances are different and completely unique. I donāt really know how much Netanyahu would listen to anyone anyway. I know the US holds a lot of sway because of the foreign aid and arms they supply, etc. And itās utterly fucking appalling what has happened and continues to happen in Gaza. But it still doesnāt make Biden analogous with Putin (or Netanyahu or the Hamas leadership) imo. And you have the added layers of complexity in the US and Israelis (I imagine) sharing intelligence etc. while the latter fights its proxy war with Iran. Which also has far wider implications (Russia, China and so on). It does feel like Biden could and should have done more in terms of a ceasefire, but as Fish says itās hard to know exactly how much pressure is being applied in private. I think the āGenocidal Joeā type of comments are ridiculously childish and simplistic as well.

I honestly donāt think Jones cares that much about Palestine. And none of his rhetoric is remotely helpful, even if he does. I donāt really like the term but heās the ultimate virtue signaller
