  1. A woke trans lesbian one too šŸ‘šŸ»
  2. if you agree with that I think there’s a very good chance you would already be voting for Trump. Is he just trying to alienate potential voters here?
  3. All you haters can take the piss but have you seen the most recent accounts filed on Companies House?
  4. Re: the first one, that’s obviously a bit tragic if he made that up but absolutely not in the same ball park as if it's true
  5. Before I sign up - can I just check something? Would I have to listen to you?
  6. Given you don’t have to isolate, I’d guess hardly else is, even in the unlikely event they’ve actually tested. Unless it’s an excuse to work from home or pull out of a presidential election. I.e. they won’t be cancelling any non-refundable holidays. I’d take CT’s advice and be considerate. Wear a mask indoors, avoid too much contact where you can etc
  7. There’s the invisible concertina again
  8. I’m guessing you’d have heard about it already if he had.
  9. I dunno, Vance seems pretty charismatic
  10. I think the Republicans increased the amount of people on it to get a majority of pro-republican judges on there. So the argument goes Biden could / should do the same
  11. Honestly thought he was already dead. 🪦
  12. If Anderson is worth Ā£35m then he is worth, erm… about half as much

    Elon Musk

Weaponising his daughter ffs. He’s an absolutely ghastly excuse for a man
  14. That’s the Appleby horse fair
  15. My take is that ā€˜Getting one over on the left’ is the sort Owen Jones type rhetoric that could paralyse a Labour government that has a massive amount to sort out. Grow up you pathetic fucking cunts, or don’t complain if we’ve got our own version of the Republican Party back in a term or two.

    Eddie Howe

Apart from for selfish reasons I would like them to at least try that model, ie Carsley. What’s the point in putting that into system into place if you don’t at least then give it a go?

    Eddie Howe

I can’t see them being ranked last in the entire tournament though
  18. I think they were more ā€˜Is that meant to be a joke or something?’

    Eddie Howe

Aye, fair point. I still think it would be massively tempting given the players at his disposal and that it might never come along again. Plus, his not being in that ā€˜elite’ category of managers. Yet, anyway. But he might never be. I guess we don’t know quite how uncertain things are behind the scenes at NUFC either. Anyway, I really hope I’m wrong and someone else gets the role

    Eddie Howe

It’s absolutely the case that Howe will consider it really seriously. For the exact reasons Polarboy mentions. He might decide not to. But I honestly think I’d take it in his position. Even if he’s a failure, the things he’s done here and at Bournemouth had proved his credentials as an excellent club manager so he’ll always have that to fall back on. He’s got a great opportunity here, but we’re kidding ourselves if we think the chance (and it’s a real chance with this group of players) to win the World Cup with England isn’t a bigger draw for just about any manager
  21. The difference back then was the club held your registration even after contract was over. So they could stop you moving but then put you on significantly worse terms. They could also demand a transfer fee, even though the contract was expired. So, in PL’s example, Alan Ball could’ve seen his career effectively ended by not agreeing to the move. This is what happened to Jean-Marc Bosman, and precipitated his legal action. Ironically Bosman was left skint by it all, once his legal fees were taken into account and has never had any meaningful recompense since. Despite being largely responsible for making players and their agents much more powerful and rich as a result of what he did.
  22. He’s trying to play the race card already, the fucking cunt
  23. That probably came out well after he’d left office I’m guessing? And I doubt he’d have done much holding back if there had been something like what Hamas did in September. Not a defence of Biden really but the circumstances are different and completely unique. I don’t really know how much Netanyahu would listen to anyone anyway. I know the US holds a lot of sway because of the foreign aid and arms they supply, etc. And it’s utterly fucking appalling what has happened and continues to happen in Gaza. But it still doesn’t make Biden analogous with Putin (or Netanyahu or the Hamas leadership) imo. And you have the added layers of complexity in the US and Israelis (I imagine) sharing intelligence etc. while the latter fights its proxy war with Iran. Which also has far wider implications (Russia, China and so on). It does feel like Biden could and should have done more in terms of a ceasefire, but as Fish says it’s hard to know exactly how much pressure is being applied in private. I think the ā€˜Genocidal Joe’ type of comments are ridiculously childish and simplistic as well.
  24. You can’t wash your Bush in a Clinton šŸ‘šŸ»
  25. I honestly don’t think Jones cares that much about Palestine. And none of his rhetoric is remotely helpful, even if he does. I don’t really like the term but he’s the ultimate virtue signaller
