Weren't they originally a Sheff Wed band who their fan base took a dislike to because 1) they're shite and 2) they're seen as proper Jonahs who've coincided with the club's demise

Still can't believe what they got for Pickford because of their situation but, with the Premier League being what it is, you can sort of understand since he was a highly rated young English talent. All of that goes out the window though when they don't have anyone like that and they're selling players to sides a division or two lower. And when you get relegated you normally have some players that stick out as being a cut above the rest but they don't even seem to have that. I think Watmore, despite being a headless chicken would've probably been a good Championship player for them (and might even have made enough of a difference to keep them up) but at this point you don't even know if his career will ever recover. They seem to be absolutely fucked for the foreseeable future

Aye, it was good when they toured the country and despite the usual 'no surrender' knackers in attendance it was good to see them at SJP. But surely they'll still play their games at Wembley to fulfill the Club Wembley (or whatever it's called) obligations

That's my take on it too. I.e. his fan club makes you think he's a bit dodgy but jail time is a joke. Agree about those donating as well. Perhaps he can give any left over money to the EDL
