  1. Yeah but he was in the IRA
  2. Thought they might've played in Jackie Milburn's testimonial with the timing / family ties. Clutching at straws tbh.
  3. It's not the Charltons in a testimonial or something like that is it?
  4. I was fairly certain about the Guthries but the Withes were a guess as I knew Peter had played for us and he had a brother called Chris who was a player but didn't know if he had played for us or not (suspected not tbh).
  5. Think it's worth mentioning that he often looked poor when he played without someone creative in midfield largely because, rather than just sticking to what he was good at, he would try and be more creative and take on the responsibility. It's quite brave and does you no favours with the crowd but it's better than just letting a match slip away by, in effect, hiding.
  6. Was just reading about the Robledos this morning.
  7. Ah, because our full season in the Championship under KK was the inaugural PL season too. Sneaky
  8. I missed Wijnaldum I better just shut up
  9. I've just realised who it is. Very recent
  10. Not Overfriendly Martin is it?
  11. A lot like Brexit I suppose. Edit: Sorry, missed Meenzer's reply after watching that awesome video
  12. I thought it might've been him but I did google to check (which is cheating I suppose). The mention of Domi put me in mind of him as I though there's bound to be one who isn't French and they were both around during the SBR era. Not sure why he popped into my mind tbh but I seem to remember him going back to Portugal but getting a mention on .com in there round-ups of former Newcastle players in relation to a move to France (and I probably checked nufc.com about twice a day instead of twice a month back then).
  13. I've seen them recently at Benton and Palmersville Metro stations in the morning handing them out. Always really frumpy lasses in their 30s or 40s.
  14. It's the bloke who took Fulham down whose name I can't remember and even if you told me now I'd have forgotten in about 5 mins
  15. He was great in that match (and that season) and played a big role in our re-establishing ourselves as a PL team the season before as well.
  16. I think it's fair enough when you consider she was Home Secretary for 6 of the last 7 years. And if that article by Pilger was correct about her knowing about the 'Manchester Boys' and allowing their travel etc (I doubt we'll see any litigation off the back of it) then doubly so.
  17. Can't see anything from what you'd call a reliable source yet so hopefully it's not true.
