Thought he'd get plaudits in Oz for being an exponent of your national sport

It's funny how the ones who are happy to sell their own country, kids, family and friends down the river are the ones calling their opponents 'traitors'.

The other amusing thing is he made the finish really difficult because of his first touch. Re: Owen while I think he was probably a good pro (mainly because he's so fucking boring) he strikes me as someone who didn't work at aspects of his game like he should have, due to him having pace to burn and relying on that so much. Throughout his career his touch wasn't great (especially for a player of his profile - he won the Ballon D'or the season Liverpool did that cup treble iirc) and his left foot was weak too. Also heard KK fell out with him at England because he felt his workrate was nothing like it was when he first burst onto the scene.

Been said before but it really is disgraceful that David Davies campaigned for Brexit but is utterly fucking clueless about how negotiations for it should progress

Mike Tyson did a speaking tour there about 5 years ago, he won't get anywhere near 12 months (if he gets a prison sentence at all) and the last bit is a bonus, shirley

I was told by a pretty decent source that he refused to go when he was sub for the away match to Villa that sent us down. That was at the time as well.

Probably lie and say his tactics are to blame for the results but the sensible mackem I work with has repeated the rumour on many occasions in the past. I think the Secret Footballer has pretty much backed it up too.

Good job that criteria doesn't apply to squaddies otherwise there'd be next to no one left in the British Army

I wouldn't have thought so, no.

It's been an open secret for ages that every time a manager got tough with the players and their drinking culture they went to Short and got the manager sacked. That's on the owner without a doubt.
