  1. So, This year, I've been mostly wondering why , when sat on the throne pushing out a curler , my piss is now deflecting off the underside of the toilet seat and either: 1. Running down the toilet itself and making an unsightly pool on the floor or 2. disaster - wetting the back of my trousers - thankfully when at home. Anyone else? Pre-empting any helpful questions: 1. No , it's definitely a new thing on the same toilets 2. I dont think it's changed - it was normal weather too , the only thing thats changed is the depth of hang of the balls - they are definitely half inching closer to the floor every 2- 3 years. 3. I am about 10kg heavier than this time 3 years ago. (94kg, 5ft 11)
  2. That's not the only fine dining in Heaton , though the other one I found a bit wanky - NEST on chillingham road. Never been to My Delhi - how was it? I know I'm late to the show - but in case someone searches. I'm getting fatter year on year and here's my top £££'s ones: House of Tides (taster menu) -swing bridge Peace and Loaf (taster menu some nights "normal menus on others") - jesmond Rio (cheaper but still expensive, if you booze) - jesmond one has marginally better food imo because its busier so you get more choice - but the quayside one is proper lush too. Cafe Andaluz (town) - cheaper on theatre nights, they dont ask to see tickets if you take the pre-theatre option. ££'s Lezzet (Benfield Road / Four Lane Ends) Broad Chare (really nice , pub food with a posh edge) £'s Nudo Noodle House near pink lane (not the chain) Great sushi and oriental food at a great price They are my go to places the £££'s ones are really top imo.
  3. A lot of money for someone with little game time last year and an ACL injury. Is the curse of NUFC (injuries to new players) finally behind us - I think this signing will tell!!
  4. Just hearing that in Norwich conservative office, they had a delivery of 20,000+ pamphlets on Monday, saying that people do not need ID to vote this year and have distributed all of them since. Tory HQ saying its a terrible mistake. Found this link : Norwich Conservative leaflet says voter ID not needed | Norwich Evening News (eveningnews24.co.uk)
  5. I sat there for the Women's game this weekend, they are pretty good seats. nice clear view and enough elevation to see the other side's line markings.
  6. I'm assuming you're buying for you and a family member or friend? The way to do this is to both have membership accounts online , then you "link" to them as friends and family - then when one of you gets on you can buy tickets for both members and they can be together at the same time. We had to do this for Wembley and once its done, its done forever. They have to be people you trust though, obvs - or they could nick your allocation for matches with more than 1 ticket allowed per member (cup games)
  7. To be fair, if our lot is anything to go by, only a 12:30 kick off can stop us being full of beer - but I'm thankful for the 2pm as I like to remember the bloody games
  8. Write up on nufc.co.uk now Newcastle United - In pictures: Newcastle United Women score six at St. James' (nufc.co.uk)
  9. Only read a couple of pages here. But for me, this was purely fitness / tiredness and them playing almost exactly the same way we do. I don't think it was a poor performance by us, more as a remarkable one from the opposition (which I suppose is how teams must feel about us!) They were quicker to the ball - Gordon looked slow (and he isn't its just in comparison) and we missed Longstaff imo - once again teaching me a lesson that I don't know anything about team selection. I have questioned his inclusion so many times (same with Willock and murphy) and everytime I do the lads have a screamer. We had glimpses of this against Brentford (I watched that match) where if the team plays to close us down as aggressively as we do, we seem to lose options to release the ball very quickly. For the first half it looked like Brentford had "learnt how to deal" , but then they collapsed in the second, thankfully. From my view Toney should have had 2 goals by half time , not even counting the pen. Last edit - Also, I thought we saw something different from Howe in the Brentford game - he lost patience and made some pretty drastic changes compared to what I've seen before. Wilson and Isak seem to have had a great understanding coached into them already, they were immense in the second half. All that said, we've won away from home in London more than once - these in themselves are points I never would have expected - We'll bounce back at home, no bother.
  10. I'm going with this, as soon as I saw it I thought I'd seen it last year in the season break , he runs up a hill after that bit. He may well be in France now, but that video isn't recent.
  11. Great family day out for anyone with nippers. The atmosphere is "in development" much as the team is , but I was really surprised by the attendance. Amanda and co were in attendance and gave a good presentation at half time. The match had to be delayed by 15 minutes due to the box office still having a queue of hundreds.
  12. You lads read too much twatter. is it ever useful?
  13. Blame Ashley, happened under him, some of my mates are still on 10 year deals though because that bit can't be found either and it's left it a legal quagmire. I chucked mine after Rafa went, then buckled and bought one back , lost everything. Some peoples misfortune is others pure fucking jamminess. 480 quid for a season ticket in a good seat.
  14. I was in Priority Group 3 - season ticket holder been to every carabou cup match , no loyalty points (despite 10+ years) From my perspective, it was pretty good - I am really pleased with how they integrated the wembley seating plan into the the book.nufc.co.uk website - great work. Scary shit though at the time - we've booked our room with 3 beds in Brentford and train tickets a while back , with a backup plan of going on a mini break with my wife if we got knocked out. We met on vid conferencing and it made no fucking difference what time you joined the queue to the number you had (I logged on at 6am , the other lad at 9am and the last at 10 - there was 10 minutes difference between us!) Even in group 3, tickets were very limited (I'd guess at around 4000 left on Wednesday), we booked something in level 5 - then I saw some in "Club Wembley" (seats only) and booked those for the 3 of us as a group . Then it got real. Couldnt remove the 3 seats in level 5 from the basket (your selection will leave 1 seat free, which isnt allowed) and couldn't buy the level 5 ones because (only 1 ticket per member). Mates then start getting all shouty and nervous , but as an ex ex-pat , I'm used to using the nufc booking system - manually go into the seats again and unselect them, rather than delete from basket - worked! fuck me, if I wasn't shaking by the time it was done and 125 quid lighter when we were expecting the max ticket price to be 100! That said, the whole weekend, leaving on the Saturday, staying over 2 nights, tickets and train was 300 notes. Probably doesn't read well, but fuck it, that's my story. 14 more sleeps.
  15. He's been pretty right tho, in the past, especially during the takeover; and he's an old guffa with no points to prove. Maybe someone wanting to buy Wood was a surprise?
  16. See, Told you. Anthony Gordon: Newcastle agree £45m deal for Everton forward - BBC Sport Given my form in this thread this week, you may be happy? to hear that I'm not actually convinced this is a good move.
  17. Yup, Im writing it out for fun really, but lets see, Maxi goes no one in permanent. We've plenty of time to wait until the Summer and we play the long game, as shown with Botman; I'm buying it. He's got some stories like, but he's suckered me in with some of the past predictions.
  18. I said it before, but I'll chance my arm again. My "man in the know" says no incoming transfers planned this January, or requested - despite what's in the media. Its a couple of loan to buys if possible and looking to get Darlow, Maxi and Shelvey out on "good deals for both parties". Now I've written it, it'll hopefully be bollox (other than the Maxi and Shelvey out bit)
  19. Fuck me lads, just go here and sort it out once and for all: IQ testing and puzzles – Mensa Or, I tell you what, time how long it takes you to do a wordle today.
  20. Even as a season ticket holder, I doubt I can buy tickets - I'm absolutely staggered by the complete inability to earn loyalty points. Even 15 years held with a 10 year deal and not a single loyalty point on the website !
  21. I've money on it. It looked to be arranged in December - some hastily deleted social media posts about "always loving the club and remembering the support from the fans" . No current player says that , do they? I'm happy with it tbh, we always look weaker when he plays - Howe's "intensity is our identity" doesn't quite click with ASM.
  22. Channel 4 seem to be rewarding the tories for letting them off privatisation, by running stories all over social media that Starmer want's to privatise the NHS . Also, same as the last election - who the FUCK are advising these political parties - I know they all buy in campaigners and advisors - but who the fuck are they.. I'm starting to get consiracy theories and I'm not (I think) a nutter! Starmer seems to be commiting suicide as a Labour leader , not going for the jugular making televised statements about the Tories trying to use new laws to silence the strikers , or their approach to migrants, or the scandals, or the energy crisis payoffs and complete lack of authority from HMRC as the middle men make an absolute fortune. No it's a speech about how (paraphrased) "Spending tax payers money on public services to BIG Government is not what anyone wants - we need reform and alliances with the private sector" If some fucker hasn't infilitrated the party to put that particular nuclear nugget in his head, I'll eat my own arse. Same as the last election when Corbyn who was previously pretty open about Brexit was advised to sit on the fence and not support either side - a.k.a lose votes on both sides, win votes on neither - and Lib Dems were advised to go for "We will return to the EU without another vote" .. All in the context of the Tory scandals, the energy crisis (public money to private companies AGAIN) , the channel , Brexit issues and an NHS thats falling over due to underfunding over 13 years (Starmer says otherwise) . Unless, it's all a ploy to just get power back and then start returning to sensible balanced economic and social policies. I mean, if it isn't FFS the 1% are absolutely in control here.. *aaaand relax*
