  1. The time to judge Starmer starts now. Time to start standing for something. He has such a big majority he can push through pretty much anything he wants. Time to throw away the caution and start rebuilding the country.
  2. nah. They will move to the right and fight among themselves. It’s great news for Labour and we’ll see then implode the same way Labour did during the Corbyn years. Hopefully it takes them an election cycle or two to get it out of their system before they remember that elections are won from the centre.

  4. I stuck with it. I’m enjoying the quite bizarre cast of characters
  5. the thing is they’ve got such a massive majority they can pretty much force through anything they want. Hopefully real change starts here - beginning with the low hanging fruit of closer alignment with the EU in many areas. We will soon get a sense of whether he’s ambitious or as boring as he seems.
  6. I mean, you’re right but they’re more representative of the country than you think. These are the same dickheads who voted for brexit to “take back control of our borders”.
  7. still strong support for Brexit in Mackem land. Because it’s worked so well for them
  8. I think Farage will start hating being an MP pretty quickly, yeah. But I also see the tories replacing Sunak with some headbanger from the right of the party in response to the rise of Reform. They’re looking at a prolonged period out of power while they get this out of their system.
  9. Not sure I agree with that take. Reform is the big story after the landslide. We will continue to see the tories dragged towards the right, I think. Which is great, because it should keep them out of power. Elections are won in the centre. Hopefully the racists continue to split the Tory vote and keep the tories unelectable
  10. and they’ve extended Ten Fraud’s contract
