  1. best of both worlds, using the spurs model. it's more or less still SJP, so less traumatic for the traditionalists while still giving us a brand new superstadium that will provide the extra seats required. presumably there will come a point during the rebuild when we have to play with a massively reduced capacity while they knock down parts of the leazes end. not sure what that means for existing ST holders.
  2. Two peanuts walk into a rough, radge pub. One of them was assaulted
  3. Miley starts against Brum, I reckon
  4. A pony walks into a bar and coughs, “Hey, COUGH. Gimme a bu COUGH a beer COUGH.” The barman serves him and says, “What’s with your voice?” The pony says, “Nothing, I’m just a little hoarse.
  5. Brace for more of this shite if we miss out on top five https://www.threads.net/@lfcmotives/post/DFoCsMkAw1d?xmt=AQGzwbmx4ny1oVJC42zY63veXmrgVLH8R1s9uWdTDFOS5Q
  6. yeah. He’s made them as unlikeable as Liverpool were under Klopp. Slot doesn’t seem that much of a cunt (so far). Though it’s easier to be likeable when you’re winning all the time. Let’s see how he handles it when they go off the boil.
  7. how dare you challenge big mitch's genius? TRUST THE PROCESS. THE CLUB KNOWS BEST
  8. I’m surprised Mitchell hasn’t hired you as his comms man
  9. yeah, there’s loads of low hanging fruit that they haven’t explored. It’s not all stuff that would test the limits of the rules like the shit Chelsea have been getting away with. Where are the training ground/kit sponsors etc? We can’t just blame psr. I expected more from the commercial team as that’s how you get past it.
  10. i wonder how long it will be until the saudis start to get "creative" and test the limits of the rules. chelsea have seemingly taken the piss unpunished and the saudis have the best lawyers in town
  11. i found it quite ironic that (outside of yorskhire) people would never dare say to someone: are you okay, you look like you put on weight? but i had several friends and colleagues asking if i was okay or declaring that i'd lost too much weight. apparently body shaming is only okay if you're thin
  12. 100%. and not giving up if you have a bad day or week. just get back on it and the results will come. i got a bit too lean last year. i'm 6ft 2, quite broad and cut to 76kg. i was loving having proper abs but people at work kept asking me if i was okay and the wife said my face started to look like skeletor. i'm back up to 80kg now which is probably a healthier weight for me
  13. anyone can do it man, even at our age. you just have to put in a bit of work and pay attention to what's going in and going out at first. i found cutting booze is half the battle as it's much easier to stay in calorie deficit or maintenance when you're not wasting loads of calories on drink. i still allow myself the occasional binge but don't really drink during the week anymore. you've already got a head start there. if you really want to make sure you're in a consistent deficit, try downloading the myfitnesspal app. you can track all your meals and snacks so you know where you are. then aim for a deficit of 250-500 calories per day. there are online calorie maintenance calculators available so you can work out the numbers. i did that with a PT a few years back and it was transformative - really helpful to understanding how much portion control matters, even if you're eating good nutritious foods. i only used the app for a couple of weeks - i definitely wouldn't bother all year round - but it's a great way to get the right info embedded if you're on a mission to lose the love handles. have you tried lifting weights? there are so many benefits - increased bone density, which can help offset arthritis as we get older, plus building muscle means you burn calories more efficiently.
  14. you can still do it man, it just takes commitment. i'm leaner now than i've ever been and i'm mid 40s. the rules of thermodynamics still apply even as you get older.
  15. Brick Lane is a lottery for the ill-informed. There are some great places, some shite. It's a great night out if you do your research and it's cheap as far as London goes
  16. depends what you're after - gymkhana and benares are my top picks. both superb quality fine dining indian if you want to push the boat out and impress the wife. not cheap though. dishoom is great - it's a mini chain and there are a few of them now - it's more affordable but they don't take reservations so you usually have to wait for a table for 10-15 minutes (think francessca's in jesmond) brigadiers is also worth a shout but not ideal if you're staying in westminster as it's in the city. if you go to borough market, there's mango, which was one of my favourite "ordinary" curry places back in the day though i haven't been for a while. if you don't mind going further afield you could always go to brick lane and just take your pick. there are loads of decent bars around the shoreditch area to check out if you decide to do that.
  17. in the queue - 12k still ahead of me
  18. it's ridiculous that the £105m hasn't been adjusted for the massive increase in inflation. it's just an arbitrary line in the sand and needs to be binned.
  19. i think man city are in a false league position. they could struggle to make top five based on their games i've seen recently. they've obviously still got great players capable of moments of brilliance that can win games, but they have no legs in midfield and look very vulnerable to quick counter-attacking football - even their playign out from the back looks ropey when pressed high. i've never fancied us to get a result at their place more than i do this time.
