I wouldn’t be against that if we can sign a couple of strikers. I don’t think Wissa alone up front is enough for a CL season. But if we sign two strikers of sufficient quality and Liverpool - or another club - come back with £150m, he can get to fuck.

I’m all for the idea that we’re better off without Isak but I’m struggling to make a convincing case. First striker to score 20 goals in consecutive PL seasons for us. They don’t grow on trees. I’m sure there is life after him however and I want the cunt gone tbh. Can’t imagine cheering for him in black and white again so if someone comes in with the asking price and we have time to replace him, I’d show the snake the door myself.

I think it’s a good window if we get Wissa and Ramsey on top of the three already signed. Ekitike and Sesko are potentially better than Wissa but they’re not PL proven. Wissa got 19 goals from open play last season. It will be a brilliant recovery from all the rejections. My main criticism is the amount of time it’s taken to get the deals done and the way our deals seem to play out in public now. Going into the new season without a senior recognised CF on the books isn’t a great look. But there has been mitigation: Isak fucking up all our plans!

I think we will still finish top 6 despite the crappy transfer window. We have one of the best coaches in the league and a core of quality players. We will do well despite the ownership’s failings. We just need to find 2-3 new additions to change the mood and give everyone a lift. It wasn’t long ago we were talking about being in the conversation for the title race with a few astute additions.

Feels like we’re running out of time to fix it this window. We still need four players - a CF (two if Isak goes) a CM and a CB to give us the depth we need for a CL season. The pool of available players is diminishing and we’re running out of time. The season starts in 8 days. I hope they prove us wrong but they haven’t given us much reason to be optimistic they’ll do what is needed before the window shuts.
