  1. 11:00pm this Thursday. Or even tomorrow night at 11 to be less awkward about it.
  2. Amadou Haidara off Leipzig has been mentioned as a possibility for a new DM this morning as well. We've been scouting him for a long while if memory serves me.
  3. Arsenal have supposedly been negotiating a deal for Tielemans for months. Unless they've decided against it, it seems very unlikely he'll going anywhere but there. It does seem odd that Arsenal didn't sign him earlier in the window though, but maybe Leicester were waiting to secure a replacement before letting him go.
  4. Tielemans is in the last year of his contract I think, so he should go for less than he normally would. You'd assume they'd still be looking for around the 30m mark. Plus Arsenal have been heavily linked, so I'm not sure how realistic these links are, but as people have said he'd be perfect for our midfield.
  5. He'd been shite for a two or three season before last season, but last season he was one of the few players to come out of it with any credit apart from Ronaldo.

  7. There's been more talk today in the Italian papers about Bakayoko. According to them he's looking to terminate both his loan agreement with Milan and his contract with Chelsea, so he can join us as a free agent. Don't know how realistic the second part if though, given that the reason Milan are ready to let him leave is that they don't want to pay the 15 odd million they'd be obligated to were he to keep playing for them. But yeah they're talking as if it's a done deal, but I suppose we'll soon find out. Think I'd probably prefer Dendonker out of who we've been linked to in the last few days, given he's already up to speed and used to the PL. Bakayoko I think may have played a few games for Chelsea, but that's a fair few years ago now. Obviously I'd rather Alvarez, but out of the more realistic options in these last few days of the window I'd go for Dendonker.
  8. Hope is reporting that it's 6m and that it becomes an obligation to buy if certain milestones are met, and said milestones are very likely to be reached.
  9. 90mins are alleging that we're in talks with Arsenal to loan Ainsley Maitland-Niles off them. He is a versatile player given he can player right back, right wing and centre mid, but you tend to think he's a jack of all trades master of none. Still he'd be a useful back up with Krafth out. Even if we are after him I'd imagine he'd rather join one of the bottom half teams where he was guaranteed more game time. Not much point in switching Arsenal's bench for ours, even if he'd likely get more minutes here.
  10. I think you should take what a manager says in the last week of a window with a pinch of salt, given it could easily all be part of a negotiation, but yeah given what we've spent already I'd be surprised if we spent over 15-20m on a player, and indeed whoever we get in will likely be a loan, loan to buy or something else close to that description. With the Chelsea players looking difficult if recent reports are to be believed, we don't appear to have many quality options left in the loan market.
  11. I'll try my best not to step into an A-ha video in the process. This Ashby kid off West Ham has just followed Anderson and Trippier on social media. Coincidental timing to say the least given the rumours. Dendonker I haven't seen much of, but I do recall him being praised as a class player. You don't get into the Belgian national team if you aren't at least half decent. Longstaff for example isn't getting into it anytime soon if he finds out he has a Flemish granny. If we could get Dendonker for a decent price he'd be a more than adequate stop gap until we can sign Alvarez for example. Ajax never hold onto their top players for long. It's just a case of them losing too many already for one window. Whoever we get, and hopefully we still do get, in the attacking area is probably going to come out of the blue like Isak, or we'll agree a last minute deal for Pedro.
  12. According to Sky Sports Leicester are in talks to sign an attacking midfielder called Amine Harit off Schalke. A replacement for Maddison? Maybe, then again maybe not.
  13. According to a telegraaf sports reporter, which I think is a fairly reliable Dutch source, Alvarez has already been told he isn't going to be sold this window, and he's happy enough to wait given it would be a big upheaval before the WC. So if they get Grillitsch maybe they were always after him regardless, or they are getting their ducks in a row for January and a new bid from us.
  14. Ajax are rumoured to be after Florient Grillitsch who's a free agent at the minute. Some people are adding two and two and maybe getting five by assuming that means Alvarez is on his way given Grillitsch is also a defensive mid. I seem to recall that we were linked with Grillitsch back in January, so it seems odd if we're not all over that especially when he's a free agent, unless of course we're confident of signing someone else.
  15. So West Ham away at the earliest before Bruno's back. That's real kick in the tits, but hopefully we'll get a couple of players in before Thursday, and they and Isak carry us through until Bruno, Wilson etc are fit in a week or two.
  16. I think you'll find that the "oxygen tank" was Penfold blowing air in with a straw.
  17. Think this is the Rugby player Johnny May, but as far as oxygen tents go there are ones with masks. I'd assume there are likely top of the line models where you're completely sealed off, like in those chambers used for the bends, as well.
  18. I'm not trying to be a dick by asking this, but how much exactly do you know about the various injury therapies and accompanying equipment?
  19. Don't players go into oxygen tents etc pretty rountinely. Can't tell if that's a private jet or the aforementioned tent, but it could be something and nothing.
  20. For a slightly less exciting rumour, according to our friends in the Italian football press, AC Milan want to end their two year loan of Chelsea's Tiemoue Bakayoko a year early, so they aren't obligated to buy him outright. He would fit a need certainly given he's a defensive mid, but I can't say I know much about him. I literally only vaguely knew that he was one of Chelsea's legion loan players. It all makes logical sense. AC Milan don't want him on a permanent, Chelsea would likely be happy for him to go on another years loan which would suit us of course, so maybe there's something to this. 21. Paqueta likely took one look at Moyes' dour Scottish face over zoom or whatever, couldn't understand a word he said, and then proceeded to get on the phone with his agent and beg him to ring us again. One can only hope at least. This would be the best way possible of signing him. Let the 'ammers do all the leg work and steal him last minute, so again fingers crossed there's something to these rumours as it pertains to us.
