We're never going to be a consistently good side until we have better than Championship quality on the bench. Especially so when we have a couple of injuries to our best players. Even if we replace Almiron we'll still need better than him coming off the bench. It's going to be a pretty slow process unfortunately.

Isak doesn't have that poachers instinct to be in the right place for when the ball comes in. Wilson has that instinct in spades, so hopefully they can form a productive partnership after the international break.

I wouldn't be disappointed to see Almiron hooked, Wood on, and then Isak either swapping flanks with Fraser or playing in Almiron's position. Wood can't be much worse than Almiron's backwards and sideways passing at the minute.
