Challenger: Countdown to Disaster tonight, Channel 4 9pm The story of the space shuttle's explosion in 1986, which killed all seven crew members - including teacher Christa McAuliffe, the first ordinary citizen to train for space flight. Engineers discovered a serious problem with the spacecraft's rocket boosters, leading two experts into desperate attempts to stop proceedings before take-off

Belle & Sebastian - Wrapped up in Books very pleasant

I'm sure the NME used to be good. These days it seems to be staffed by GCSE students. OMG BEST BRITISH ALBUM EVA!!111!1111 85186 Never been the same since it changed from an 'inky' to a 'glossy'. Melody Maker has gone tits up as well hasn't it? I used to like Select magazine in the mid '90s and Record Mirror before that. I also used to read my younger brothers Smash Hits

Aye, cos NASA are going to officially admit that they were still alive after the explosion... It was the same mole who exposed the fact that he told them if you launch the shuttle with the temperature so low, it'll blow up who stated he'd seen the medical readings which proved that some of them were still alive for a period afterwards... Seeing as he was right about the low temperatures fucking up the O-rings in the SRB, I believe him over you Rob... 86558 There was a documentary on this just a week or two back. It said the crew survived the expolsion as the cockpit is designed to break away after an accident. Think the impact of the 'pod' hitting the sea killed them (I'm guessing if it had something like emergency parachutes they were too badly damaged to deploy).

Was that the one with the golfer on board, Payne Stewart?

Statistically you're more likely to be hit by a tram than killed in an air crash. Probably.

That really was terrible wasn't it, I wonder what possessed him to do it? Almost spoilt a good movie. We seem to have a 2-2 split decision on Boondock Saints at the moment. Think I'll leave it for now, tv not too bad the neet. -
No different to a train really once your up in the air. Take-off is the exciting bit.

Read this whilst looking for those images. Kid didn't have a chance with parents like that by the sound of things:

I've got a dodgy copy of 'The Boondock Saints' anyone know if it's worth a watch? -
Do you remember that little kid that was on tv in the '80s saying he wanted to be an antiques expert? Transexual now. Then Now

Hmmm, yes that looks ok. Have to think twice about another Epson though. -
and by budget I mean cheap as chips. Don't use it much, the odd text document and the occasional cd/dvd cover. My current Epson c42ux has been a pain in the arse almost from day one. Now it's not printing black at all. Changed the ink, done numerous head cleans, I'm presuming the tubes are blocked up somewhere.

Are you listening to Radio 1 Matty? Arctic Monkeys doing a live cover of Girls Aloud 'Love Machine'
-
Kraftwerk - Computer Love Never heard it before, decided to look it up after hearing about the sample on Coldplay's Talk. Its a work of genius, especially as it's nearly 30 years old.

Don't like to think about the Partizan tie. It was the beginning of the downward spiral in my eyes but welcome anyway

I also like Mr Man (the character that goes into the shop and asks for incredibley obtuse things). The 'Pirate Memory Game' sketch could have come from classic Two Ronnies. -
Ian Brown - F.E.A.R great tune but still the worst live act I've ever seen.

NFL playoffs via the wonders of internet radio.

Another massively under-rated show is Early Doors. The writing and acting is priceless.
