  1. sorry if some of these are on loan from Prem clubs or something, but this is my choice... Don Cowie (Watford) Albert Adomah (Bristol City) James Coppinger (Doncaster (and at this point I'd better mention that I know that he's already played for us, because of knuckle-dragging idiots who think that if you don't mention it, you can't know it and must be an idiot) Peter Wittingham (Cardiff City) Lewiss McGugan (Nottingham FOrest) Danny Graham (Watford) Shane Long (Reading) Luciano Becchio (Leeds) James Henry (Millwall) Chris Burke (Cardiff City) Jay Borthroyd (Cardiff) Max Gradel (Leeds) Billy Sharp (Doncaster) Andy King (Leicester) Steve Morrison (Millwall) lmao
  2. . . ah y know what . d'oh im off for me tea . embarrassed . hahah, tbf, Amdy Faye was never in a losing team for his first ten games or so
  3. Black Ops is a pretty bad video game. Burnout Paradise isn't though, I'm on a serious addiction.
  4. Reading Chaucer is like reading the ramblings of a mental dyslexic teenager.
  5. It's refreshing to get an opposition fan who isn't just on the wind-up so feel free to stick about
  6. The obsession with wage packets is a curious new obsession with NUFC fans like. 50k is pennies for your influential captain, top goalscorer, big dressing room presence and Mackem Destroyer (co-owned with Shola), especially for the continuation of those things.
  7. For Stoke or the Mackems? I think Etherington's alright from Stoke. Sunderland have spent a load of money on a load of average players though.
  8. He's got to stick his head above the parapet for so much shite going his way. I still can't say I feel sorry for him though with the circumstances of his arrival.
  9. I went to Liverpool, enjoyed it, preferred Newcastle as a city. Just chiming.
  10. Having said all this, I do agree that money ultimately dictates where most players go in these cases. Players like Barton and Nolan with us are different circumstances as they've largely been forced out of a club they want to play for and have been made to feel unwanted (though Barton has thicker skin than most). With players like Ba, I think it's definitely a bidding war in terms of wage packets and that's determined it; I just can't see us offering anyone 70k a week unless they see serious re-sale value in him. I'd argue that when players like these come to middling PL teams, it's with aim to move on to better pastures quickly anyway.
  11. I'd have had him for 5 years, aye. That doesn't mean I'd start him for five years though; his presence in the dressing room and possible transition into coaching would have been a rare moment of long-term planning with the club.
  12. It'll be 50k with some incentives, I imagine then. He'll get a bit extra after ten games etc, wouldn't surprise me. There's no way we're paying out 70k straight in wages under this lot. 10/20 goals, not games, I meant.
  13. £70k for Demba Ba. Or if thats not true and its less then what is it? £60k, £50k? for a guy who failed 2 seperate medicals in the last 3 years for the same problem? Yes silly money. Aye but if you want to tell me where you're getting that figure from? A guy called "sheedy" who has contacts at Everton, he's pretty much always spot on with his info. Not your usual run of the mill ITK, if he says something it pretty much always pans out the way he says it will. What else has he got? I'm not trying to say you're talking shite but the notion that Ba is on 70k at a club with a wage cap, a club that won't give Enrique what he wants to stay and has routinely said they're lowering the wage bill is hard to believe. I reckon he'll be on about 40k fwiw.
  14. £70k for Demba Ba. Or if thats not true and its less then what is it? £60k, £50k? for a guy who failed 2 seperate medicals in the last 3 years for the same problem? Yes silly money. Aye but if you want to tell me where you're getting that figure from?
  15. What an absolutely shit deal. I'd have considered that derisory.
  16. Where are you getting silly wages from? It's common knowledge that our players are leaving because they can get more money elsewhere
  17. Tiote got it because he was young and it improves sale value.
  18. Gran's Gotcha's were the best bits. Only seen the first episode like
  19. Can we impose a ban on posting what basically amounts to daydreaming?
  20. Been dismissed this, hasn't it?
  21. It's not a case of bank balances though, is it? It's a case of influence on the pitch and willingness to improve the club that's important; you get the sense that Barton and Nolan want the club to improve and build but they've been left no choice but to leave because we're being run by a short sighted petulant child. Replacing Barton with Cabaye is daft because what happens when the £10 million offers for Cabaye and Tiote come rolling in? Are we going to replace them with more one-season wonders at the expense of improvement and progression? Players like Cabaye should be the supplement to the likes of Barton so we've got a genuinely good squad; fuck finances, you've just got £35 million for Carroll and a chunk of TV and PL money, it's a disgrace that it's not being spent on supplemented quality. Nolan should have been here for at least another season because he's a massive part of the past 2 seasons being decent in spite of some backward ownership.
  22. Barton will probably be off so it'll be Harper or Steven Taylor.
  23. Thats what i just said. Aye Nolan, Barton, Jose and Jonas are important to the team but i dont mind us selling them for good fee's, removing those high wages and replacing with younger quality players on lower deals. Good for the club as a business but a risk for the team on the pitch. If dont wisely though the risk is less. Just directly replacing players isnt enough though...we still need 4 on top of that. These younger players see us a stepping stone to more successful PL clubs.
  24. Difference between wishing him well and saying he'll do well is what CT cant grasp
