Group: Shareholder I like it here. It's picked up from a couple of years ago when sometimes tumbleweed blew threw the threads. I used to be a regular on N-O but it got on my tits, especially with the pathetic anti-Keegan line of some people on there. Posters like Stevie and Leazes Mag are what make the place interesting and it's N-O's loss as far as I'm concerned. There's risk associated with appointing Shearer obviously. However there's also great possibility. If he has the rest of the season to settle in, learn the ropes and find his way of doing things etc, and we got promoted, we might emerge as a stronger club for it. CH is doing well atm but I feel Shearer may have more potential long term and would be a greater attraction for signings. In reality I believe we are stuck with Ashley and Hughton so it's somewhat academic. Rather have Moat and Shearer on balance though, just to see the back of the fat shirt seller.

I agree Alex; in this case it isn't better the devil you know. I can't say I'd look forward to any new ownership with any great optimism but I'm sure people would give Moat a chance. For no other reason than he isn't Ashley. However I can't believe that Ashley would walk away easily when the team is dong well. My only hope is that he has other distractions in his business and the penny's dropped about just how hated he is.

What do you base that on CT? Is this wishful thinking or do you know/know of him? I was very hopeful when Ashley took over. I was slightly worried by his reputation as a twat and a bully but swallowed the line that he wanted to have fun and be successful. Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine what a massive odious incompetent CUNT the man would turn out to be. I'm worried he could be Ashley Mark II but without any money.

Barton's been a massive disappointment. He's contributed nothing and sucked away cash that could have been used on someone worthwhile. No more second chances imo.

I doubt KK would be interested in returning without serious financial backing. Doesn't sound like Moat would have much to spend and isn't Shearer his first choice anyway? The best legacy KK can leave us with now is forcing Ashley to sell up imo. I don't think he'll ever be back again as manager; he might take a board position in a few years if it was on offer.
