Voted for Leeds, West Ham, Spuds, Man U and Chelsea. To be frank, Leeds and West Ham fans are true scum. They are thugs. Although Leeds have been brought back to reality, West Ham still think they are a big club when only the dodgiest of manouevers kept them out of the Championship last year. Also their policy of "buy first, ask questions later" bothers me. They're like Chelsea, but not as good. I consider Spuds to be the lowest form of life in the Premier League, mostly because of their positive media bias. I hate the wankers and I hate the London media who glorify them. Man U fans are about as plastic as they come - if you'd listen to them talk, Old Trafford has a capacity of 1.2 million, since all of them were at the game last night. Bollocks. Half of them have never even been near Old Trafford and have no link to Manchester. They're the original glory hunters. And finally, Chelsea are the club we all love to hate. Their insufferable "support." Their cheating filth players throwing swan dives at the slightest touch and surrounding the referee if a call doesn't go their way. The fact that they were absolute nobodies for years and now they consider themselves God's gift to football. They're even worse than Man U - because at least they have history. One of the most maddening moments in football I've experienced was Drogba moving the free kick up ten yards or so before scoring from it in our Carling Cup game against them last season. Solano saw him cheating and tried to notify the ref, who was having none of it, and they went on to barely scrape it 1-0. Lowlifes.

Heard he's decent from some Wednesday fans I know. Not Premiership quality, they reckon.

Official Match Thread - Birmingham 1-1 Newcastle
acrossthepond replied to khay's topic in Newcastle Forum
Could and should have won considering Owen's muffed chance but if you look at the difference in play in the two halves I think it proves a couple of things - one, that there is still some passion left at this club, and two, that we can win these games and have come away unlucky to do so. The point will do, the first half was so dire it seems like a wonder we got anything. They'll be saying the same, I think. -

Really don't think much of that and you no doubt could hear the boos from our support at the announcement. Surely Barton, Butt, or Geremi had to go. -

Bizarre handball there. Imagine if we score from this kick. -

Great blast from Enrique there, scared Taylor into conceding the corner. We must fancy this now. COME ON LADS! -

Us to win 2-0, it will be tight but all the luck we've missed out on will turn up tonight. Smith and Martins to score. Of course then Smith will be an instant hero and guaranteed for selection in all of the rest of our matches, but isn't that happening already? As someone said already in this thread, really fancying Smith to score tonight for whatever reason. Just a feeling. -
Michael Owen must look at his own failings
acrossthepond replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
I don't care about "ridicule" on this board. Ridicule me for what? Do you disagree when I say that he's a waster? If so please elaborate. Tell me what he's contributed to our season. I've been saying all year long that he's a spent force and a mercenary. What has he done to prove me wrong? -
Michael Owen must look at his own failings
acrossthepond replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
And yet when I made these exact points before the season began and in the early weeks, people were queuing up to call me a Yank know-nowt. I have always said that Owen is a mercenary. Now he has proven himself to be a mercenary in serious career decline whose form barely deserves a place in the side and certainly not over Martins. He is the last player, save maybe Chimbonda or Mikel, who I would want in a relegation scrap. All he cares about is his chance to appear in an England shirt. -
Would we have been in this shit state under Allardyce?

A win against Birmingham on Monday will send us up the table and banish all of this relegation talk. All we can do now is hope and pray. I have implicit faith in KK's ability to impress just how big this game is on the players and we are strong enough still to get this result. If Birmingham want this, and they do, we have to want it more and here's where KK's motivational ability will shine. -
Fabiano is great...in Spain. Sad that we always have to add that disclaimer. It sounds like our scouts are actually earning their pay, at least, so we can take a positive from this.

Some Toon fans would rather be like the happy Hammers

Mackem. -
Casts doubt on the rumours of a falling-out between Viduka and KK. I'd have him back in the side any day, lazy and questionable "fitness" but when he can be arsed he's looked dangerous.

It's all relative. I don't remember us ever being 2 points from the drop. I do remember a manager being slated for bigging up smith, dropping zog, excluding enrique, targetting scottish league players and talking endless shite. I also remember making the point, if Keegan came in, was shite and left, what then for NUFC? We might well find out soon. Grass is always greener. So go find the other side already and do it sharpish, you sorry troll. -
from http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id...233&cc=5901 Sounds pretty dire for them - wish them luck, hope they don't fold.
-
Never heard this one. You mean like "as far as Mackems, they're shite" v. "as far as Mackems are concerned, they're shite?" That's new on me. Most Americans say "as far as Mackems go." "I could care less" is infuriating however, I agree. All "-ize" are American spellings, not sure why we're arguing over that. I do prefer "while" to "whilst" however. On topic, this thread should be closed to all posters except Stevie, Thompers, and Invicta_RICO and they should just go at it.

The official Liverpool Vs Newcastle United Arse-raping thread
acrossthepond replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
The sheer level of bitter, petulant whinging in this thread is astonishing. Get a grip you clowns, we're not going down. We lost to Liverpool, just like 10 of the last 12 times we've been to Anfield or something ridiculous along those lines. Get a hold of yourselves. This isn't the end of the world or of our season. I fully expect Keegan to lead us out of this mess. For people so obsessed with precedent many of you seem to forget we endured a similar start to his previous time at SJP, complete with Chicken Littles like you lot running around predicting a disastrous relegation. KK will turn it around - just you wait and see. Class will tell. p.s. MARTINS needs to be playing, I will say that much. -
All gone to pieces for Man U, absolutely hilarious. Shades of Lehmann for them.

I've got a rallying cry for him, the shite: :nufc: FUCK OFF!! :nufc:

Fat Sam's scientific approach a load of crap
acrossthepond replied to Jusoda Kid's topic in Newcastle Forum
Christ, Thompers, you are some kind of moron. Back on topic, we all knew Fat Sam was full of shit, doesn't surprise me that Keegan trains the lads harder and inspires them better. I'm still trying to find some kind of positive from Fat Sam's time here...Faye/Beye, I suppose, but can't see any other upside really. -
"There was relief for Magpies striker Alan Smith after his 0th minute strike against Nemo FC ended an incredible 1059802987965-hour goal drought. The striker had previously not found the net in six months of consecutive appearances for Newcastle and the relief on his face was plain to see."
-
Time for Martins, I think. Derby/Mackems still 0-0...
-
Looks like we're doing all right so far. But this is typical NUFC. We'll play a decent first half, come back out and concede four.
-
Keep the faith lads, if we don't then who will? 2-1 to us. Enrique's return is nice but the continued lack of Martins/Emre/Viduka is only cause for dismay.
