  1. Horrendous miss by Owen after an equally bad defensive error sent him 1v1. We always look like scoring, they won't keep us out much longer.
  2. Unbelievable handball by Bramble in the box just now. Ref must've been looking the other way. Absolutely clear, no doubt penalty. That's twice we've been robbed now, let's hope this ref isn't playing for the other side.
  3. Owen's goal ruled out for offside after he got on the end of Milner's deflected shot. He was certainly on, ref appears to have ruled it out for Viduka being off.
  4. Impressions so far: Defenders look solid, Cacapa esp. Melchiot is a really ugly fellow and that "hairstyle" isn't helping. Good movement up the field, looks promising. In other news, West Ham are 1-0 up at Reading with a goal from Bellend. Yakubu has also scored for Everton and Spurs have a goal from Kaboul. 3 away teams 1-0 within 10 minutes. Let's hope Wigan don't follow suit.
  5. Owen played onside for a 1v1 by...guess who?...Bramble. Hilarious.
  6. Pretty sure we're going to drop this one. We've had our heads in the clouds for a while and I can just see us losing to Wigan and crashing back down to earth. It's typical NUFC. But hope springs eternal. HT: 1-0 FT: 2-1 FS: Martins. Bonus: 2
  7. Next time the Boro fans sing anything even vaguely off-color someone had better call up the national newspapers. Stop the presses! As a Muslim, I am disappointed that our fans could sing a chant that is clearly anti-Muslim (anyone who denies this is quite deluded. Comparisons to "the shoe bomber" are feeble at best) and I would like to see much less of that in the future. BUT to suggest that our lot are in the same league as Leeds fans singing about Munich or any fans singing about Hillsborough is laughable and this moron can piss right off.
  8. From a new writer, Chris Murphy. Would be nice if those Soccernet bastards brought on a Mag, he'll certainly have no competition from the droves of Chelsea/Man U "writers" that site employs.
  9. Birmingham 0-2 SMB (mackems simply above championship quality. Blues not so much.) Fulham 0-0 Bolton (another relegation match? although Fulham don't look so shaky this year) City 4-0 Derby (Sven and his squad have a lot to prove, they'll put Derby to the sword) Portsmouth 1-1 Man U (Man U in deep striking trouble, Pompey will take advantage.) Reading 0-2 Chelsea (Sorry Brock.) Wigan 0-1 Boro (Smogs to hang on ftw, but it won't save them.)
  10. It hurts to read this thread. I can't believe you lot are talking about Barton as "not too bad on the pitch." This is the guy who mooned Everton fans and performed an absolutely horrendous stamp on Pedro Mendes. Not even to mention his training ground antics. The man isn't a footballer, he's a thug. I don't care how deprived his childhood was. Seeing him in a Newcastle jersey will be too much for me, I won't be able to bear the thought of him disgracing the black and white.
  11. Barton? No thanks. Not now not ever. This is Newcastle United FC, not St. James's FC for Delinquent Boys. Ljungburg is past it. I'd keep Emre/Duff over him.
  12. He likes that word aye? Pity he doesn't understand how to use it. P.S. Sell Oba...? Right then. Closest analogy I can think of is the 1946 election, same mindset.
  13. Something was on tonight, although I don't know where. Somehow I doubt it was at Bramall Lane. Expect legal action from Sheffield United and Wigan. Illegal player scoring the goal that sent Warnock (one of the biggest complainers on two legs) down? Shitstorm to follow at 9, stay tuned.
  14. Aye but stop replying to him. The guy is an obvious piss-taker, just trying to rile us up with mindless shite, and answering what passes for his arguments only fuels the fire.
  15. If Fat Phil takes over at NUFC, first I'll eat my Toon shirt with ketchup, then I'll start supporting Leeds United. Bollocks.
  16. He's made no impact at all on the Toon in his time here. ...apart from when he was playing When was that? I must've blinked and missed it.
  17. A little overboard maybe? Who wrote this shit and where can I and a couple of goonish friends of mine with proclivities for blunt weapons find him? On topic, Owen is welcome to fuck off. He's made no impact at all on the Toon in his time here. We're losing money on him but that's water under the bridge now.
  18. SSH, you're so full of shit you squeak. NUFC will never be responsible for anything that allegedly (very allegedly) happened at a manager's previous club. The only risks associated with Big Sam are those with any other manager - that he'll be shit, play ugly football, leave us in a shambles, etc. Run along already.
  19. There was actually, him and Keegan as a double act So thats a bloke off the telly and one who runs a football circus. Seems perfect for the Toon these days tbh Bit harsh tbh. Let's don't forget that Wor Al was playing for us last season, he's hardly "a bloke off the telly." I wouldn't mind seeing him in the relatively near future but surely this is too early.
  20. The hell is this Shepherd bloke? He sounds a bit like our chairman, only better, skinnier, smarter and better-looking. I think we should look into his takeover offer, he sounds like the right man to take NUFC apart and rebuild it right from top to bottom. After all, sounds like he'll soon be welcomed by every club in the world so we better get him quick.
  21. Latest from ESPNSoccernet.com: Nothing we didn't know already.
  22. I registered but i'm not a mackem bastard. hello everyone Welcome to Toontastic
  23. 70 guests reading this thread. Register you mackem bastards. p.s. Glenn out!
  24. Who is this clown honestly? SMB or this Crimson guy I keep reading about?
