  1. Not necessarily true if you look at the impact Woodgate had for us. Woodgate's exceptional though. It's unlikely Gooch is half the player Woodgate is.
  2. She should have used pink thread and pretended she's a pig.
  3. That was always my mate's shit joke. If someone had a camouflage rucksack "Don't put that down, you'll never find it." etc. Tit.
  4. Aye I just googled for it there. And discovered this classic Richard and Judy moment: Judy: Oh goodness, I nearly sat on my microphone there. Goodness knows where it would have went. Richard: Oooooh, I can tell you Judy. It's one of two options.
  5. What happened there like? Anyone who doesn't take exception to that wet weekend has something wrong with them.
  6. Some symmetry issues there. manc-mag would be horrified.
  7. Egg all over Oliver's face when we triumphed in the Intertoto Cup then.
  8. I've got a Then Jericho album on tape somewhere which is incredibly bad. A Shakin' Stevens album too which even had a game on the tape for the Spectrum - you had to help Shakey escape from a Haunted House.
  9. You definitely shouldn't. That was shite!
  10. I think it's impossible to know one way or the other what he's going to be like as long as we're making him line up alongside 3 different players every other week. We almost have to give him a contract just to see if he's any good or not.
  11. I don't have a problem with them not offering Bramble a contract. I'm slightly perturbed by the fact that as recently as a month ago he was all set to get one at Roeder's behest though. I think Roeder (like everyone) wanted to think that with encouragement, Bramble might become the player he ought to be. The UEFA cup exit made him realise it's never going to happen. Well it's just as well we didn't do what Roeder said a month or so ago and tie up player contracts sharpish to avoid it affecting their game. Because if we had, Bramble would already be sat on a nice new contract and Roeder would have effectively re-signed a player that he now doesn't think is good enough.
  12. Have you even seen this place? Or did she just come home and tell you to pack your shit?
  13. Keep your fucking nose out you twat or I'll break it for you Shut it Krankie.

  15. Posts like this make it all worthwhile. Gemmill is a COMPLETE and UTTER BASTARD. You and Renton seem a little bit upset by my news.
  16. WoooOOOOoooooooo! I'll be relaxing at home, playing poker. Hope you enjoy work. It's poke her you want to be playing, virgin tbh I see what you did there.

  19. "Here's what you could have won" "IIIIIIIIN One! He can stop shots like nobody's business, but he's not too hot on crosses, it's Shay Given! IIIIIIIn Two! He's your average fat bloke down the pub, it's Stephen Carr!...etc etc."
  20. Or Milner for that matter? Aye, Milner didn't even play in Alkmaar thanks to Glenn's clueless team selection policy. They should be busting a gut to show him some appreciation after the way he was treated last summer, and the way he's gone about his job this season as if all that had never happened.
  21. J69 is taking a ridiculous amount of stick for basically doing the right thing in this thread. Have a word, people.
  22. Our holiday year ends in March and I had a few days left to use up, so what better than a few 4 day weeks? And GM, I get paid no overtime, so don't get to charge for anything other than my standard hours.
  23. "You know what, Freddy? I all of a sudden don't think some of these players are good enough."
  24. Does anyone know what the rates are per income bracket? I haven't got a clue what I pay. For 2007/8 your personal tax allowance is £5225. You'll then get taxed 10% on the first 2,230 and 22% on any amount up to £34,600. Anything over that is charged at 40%. The 2p drop however has a sting in the tail, the 10% bracket has disappeared so (for the purposes of the example we'll assume the allowances are the same it will be: You'll get taxed 20% on any amount from £5,225 upto £34,600 and 40% on anything over that. So if you earned 10k in 2007/08 you would pay 10% on £2,230 and 22% on £2,545 = £782.90 In 2008/09 it works out at £955! So if you earn £10,000 per year you are fucked! You basically need to earn around 19k to break even on what you are paying now, looks like Gordon is deciding to tax the poor and give the middle classes a helping hand. Aye I worked it out yesterday for someone on £20k and I had them very slightly better off under the new system, but yep, for anyone on much less than £20k, Gordon's just pulled your pants down. It's hardly gonna encourage anyone to come off the dole either. The higher rate thing is a con too cos he's clawing it all back on NI. The little Scottish bastard eh!
