Thing is, if he's trying to save money to complete his course this makes no sense at all - all the money and probably more will be swallowed by simply staying alive. As he's doing psychology anyway why not do a bar job and the course? WHat is it, 6 hours a week? 172692 Renton, as experienced men of the world, you and I can see this as plain as the noses on our faces. For a dopey pschology student it's not so easy. He should come back, live at home, save everything he earns and go back to university as the blingest balding fatty on campus.

Fish, why not just get bar work? Imagine, sitting in a not-too-busy pub, telly on, whiling away the day. If you were stopping up here you could have got work at Northern Rock or something like that - at the headquarters. That's where I did some summer work at uni. Basically licking stamps like, but I made a big thing of it on my CV for my interview at PwC and it definitely helped.

You dirty animal!

Knows he's beaten tbh. I can kind of see what the Fish is trying to say about there being a slight distinction between the two, but I'm happy to see him lose this one.

What's that off again? 172605 True Romance. 172606 I've had breakfast in the diner that he goes to with Patricia Arquette. Which makes me pretty damn cool tbh.

Yes. 172472 Fool.

I often do that, but I hate the idea of someone doing it on my recommendation. 172444 I did it when I was younger (16 or so) with things like Taxi Driver and that, but I don't tend to buy DVDs these days - overpriced and I've learnt that I rarely watch them more than once. I certainly wouldn't buy one based on your recommendation.

No moaning about the subs? i could reccommend a few more asian films if you want? 172376 Nah, I only really can't be arsed with subtitles if I'm tired. Aye go ahead with the recommendations, I'm not mad sold on Asian cinema or anything, but I'm always looking for stuff to rent. No honk kong phooey, hoo-flung-dung stuff mind. I'm not interested in 10 minute fight scenes. 172400 'In The Mood For Love' is pure class. 172401 Zatoichi 172450 Bless you.

You're gonna buy it to watch?

Added that Estrada thing and In the Mood For Love. On your heads be it.

Oldboy. It was very good. A reprieve for alex and the rest who made me watch it.
-
Haven't seen it for ages, but I seem to remember liking the one where that Wanda lass accuses him of having an "AAAAAASS!" fetish.

As soon as I saw the title to the thread, that was my immediate choice too. Genius.

Screenselect is unlimited, so how many you get a month is just a function of how quick you can get them watched and sent back. The best thing about these online things though is having the list. Whenever I went to the video shop, there was always loads of things I wanted to see, but the minute I walked through the door of the shop, they all left my head. With this thing, if someone mentions something or you remember about something you've wanted to see for ages, it just goes on the list.
-
I'm paid up for a year in advance with Screenselect at a discount of 33% though. So I'm the champion.

www.screenselect.co.uk It's a way of renting DVDs through the post. It's good.

The Thing is class. I remember watching that when I was a kid, staying at my gran's one night. She also let us watch Halloween and got bollocked off my mam for it. Just read the synopsis on Old Boy on Amazon and it sounds like a good concept at least. I wasn't even sure what it was about when I put it on my queue at Screenselect. Will report back.

I've got that Oldboy thing from Screenselect to watch tonight. If it's no good, heads will ROLL on here.

Aye the egg bloke was a proper mad inventor. It's a good idea though, and I think they're right that it'll sell a lot - they'll love shit like that in America. At first I was sitting looking at these people - the egg bloke and the Novaflow bloke - and thinking they were idiots for mulling over the investments (especially the Novaflow bloke who turned it down), but I guess if you really believe in the product and think it'll make you millions, you don't want to be giving up 40% of those millions for £75k or whatever. However the Novaflow bloke was taking the piss - £150k for 10% of his company. All he had was a patented idea for which he has to give up 4% of the retail price to the university, and he's trying to claim it's worth £1.5m!? Idiot. The female dragon is a wisened old bitch btw. Mind, you can see watching the dragons how they've got where they are. All pretty charismatic, confident people (with the exception of the woman) and really on the ball with their thinking when they have the ideas presented to them. The wifey with the bog seats though.
