  1. I figured as much just after I finished typing out my reply but then I was thinking about Maya Beiser and all was lost Alex! I hate to see what a herbie is!
  2. Kronos Quartet playing Thelonious Monk. Not a big fan of Mertens, never heard of Bryars tbh. Apart of my strange affection for Monk's modern Jazz I am not a big fan of modern (classical) music anyway but rather like my Baroque and Romantic period or traditional jazz. I'm partial to a bit of 'Thelonious Monk' myself. Although Thelonious has the cooler name but Herbie Hancock is a better moment. The Brodsky Quartet do some good stuff and if you ever want to be turned on by a celloist, Maya Beiser has these gorgeous long legs and as she sits down to play the cello, well, you get the picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. It's evening now Cath! Hello by the way.
  4. ? edit: Oh he's gone now! Just me and google once more.
  5. Really Dave, most of us on here would of assumed that would be right up your (back) alley!
  6. Good call Ben. Arvo Part, brilliant contempary classical composer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arvo_part If you get a chance listen to Tabula Rasa, it's amazing.
  7. Was it Fulham?!?? Proof that a brain is optional to be a good footballer.
  8. stevie is a sub culture within himself!
  9. I find some of Peter Greenaway's films are too easily dismissed. A zed and two noughts and the belly of an architect are both great films. Also Penn's first film direction Indian Runner is one of those films that has been lost in time but is worth the effort. Been to Cannes a couple of times to the festival full of cunts and producers trying to get seed money. Nothing special these days. Venice is where it's at. Not the Berlinale? Where's your loyalty? I trying to finish a project I'm working on before October to enter it in competition at the Berlinale next year! Here's hoping. Someone made a comment about the lack of worth in film festivals to you I say, try applying for funding without a festival credit. They are worth it for that alone.
  10. Right! But apart from The Elephant Man, The Straight Story, Wild at Heart and Lost Highway. WHAT has Lynch ever done that anyone can understand. Blue velvet is quite lifelike if you move in the right circles
  11. Unless they're Phillipe Albert. Ah but he was a Prince amoung men
  12. Well I fucked that up didn't I? Those cunts [/stevie] at Fulham only wore white shorts against us at SJP! Oh bring back Leeds!
  13. Vicarious-tastic. What else is there to look forward to? Countdown? Goal 4, the final pay day. The story of how Newcastle resign whateverthefuckhisname is after his career has gone down the toilet at Real Madrid.
  14. Rather he just stays fit for the toon personally.
  15. So far this season we've done the double over 2 of the 3 all white teams!
  16. Your best bet is to use the "Send an email" button on that front page, and just ask them about it in English. I'm sure they'll process an order that way if you give them all your details. Love your work HF. Thank you, I'll give it a whirl over the weekend.
  17. hugo race and the true spirit - taoist priests
  18. Leaze, your support for the previous incumbent is admirable, although it is hard to agree with you but to be slating the new owner and board 8 months into their reign isn't really letting, as you said, time to tell. For a man who thrives on being right, lets hope you are very wrong.
  19. As an aside, the U14 team I coach played a team from Georges Hall who are coached by ex-Chelsea player Eddie McCreadie a couple of weeks ago. And in his team are three African player, great skill and pace and about 6" taller than anyone else on the park. Their ID cards all have then listed with a birthday of 01/01/1994!
  20. That's Newcastle Australia then. Well that's jimbo and myself in the starting squad. Can't be any worse than the Bawan, Besty, Stevie, 2J, Magma, SLP and T-Keith line-up.
  21. Why Craven Cottage is ripe for development!
