  1. Started getting visions of Batfink for a second there
  2. If Cisse and Ba go to the ACoN our only striker is Shola, better?
  3. Badly need a foward or two tbh, that Kane is supposed to be quite highly rated but isn't it basically him and Defoe at the moment? Would scare the bejesus out of me if our forward line was like that with a couple of weeks left of the window.
  4. I was told by someone clever there were more chances of a certain set of numbers coming out then others, can't remember which or why though and the chance was the slightest of difference.
  5. He was in Newcastle last night apparently.
  6. I doubt they are though, in fact I bet very few are.
  7. Not religious at all but I do see the good faith does which a few years ago I didn't see at all. As with most things in life faith creates division which is a massive shame because it could create a very developed culture if the religions worked together to spread the teachings rather than have a 'my dad is bigger than yours' attitude between each other. As said, I was massively against religion and I still think it has gone too far in some aspects to push individual agendas but faith could (with a lot of give and take) really improve how we are and how we treat each other. It will never happen but if there was a realistic standard within society we could all live a relatively comfortable life. Most religions are far too strict on certain aspects which either puts people off or makes people semi-committed. You give people realistic expectations but with an equally realistic structure we could potentially make it acceptable to force each other to live as respectable human beings. This doesn't have to be through religion just a respectable code that the majority follow leaving the ignorant minority with no choice but to.
  8. You're a nurse, a Newcastle fan and married to Midds. You > most people.
  9. Jumped right in at the end here without reading the rest of the thread but I am very split on this - 1) I know a lass who was absolutely desperate to have a kid and had to really jump through hoops to adopt one. She would without doubt be a fantastic mother but the extremes she had to go through made a mockery of the fact.. ..2) an old neighbour of mine who had 4 kids in the 6 years she lived there, all taken off her by social services including one that 'apparently' was taken away just as she moved in because her current boyfriend was accused of sexually abusing her. He suddenly wasn't around any more and the woman attempted suicide. To chose a paedophile over your own daughter but yeah she was an absolutely shit mother who only cared about having sex and didn't have any thought about the 'things' that came from it. There are definitely people who shouldn't be allowed kids but definitely people who should.
  10. You say that but you see these religious mentalist who have their children protesting outside war heroes funerals etc.. Probably the point you are making with your first comment about it could be worse but aren't people more perceptive to learning at an early age, so if the people you first start to look up to/learn from believe such nonsense isn't that going to be your pov in the future (ie if my parents constantly told me non-white people were bad as I was growing up I would struggle to believe anything else?).
  11. I didn't donate a great deal but from a purely selfish/no such thing as a good deed point of view it was definitely well worth the contribution knowing what it has contributed to.
  12. Again, found this far too funny
  13. I will admit not having children myself may make me very naive but it does honestly scare me that someone who believes (or chooses not to believe) what he does is concerning for me as personally I learnt a lot from my parents and can't see how someone with such extreme views doesn't pass them onto their kids. Sorry
  14. This will be interesting, I guess they are lights within our atmosphere, like street lamps but 100ft up!
  15. Done much more in the first 11 than O'Brien ever did, O'Brien was all about his pace and nothing else. Ferguson has looked good every time I have seen him. Won't be shocked if he is peddled but from what I have seen he looks a talent, the management/coaching staff don't seem to agree though
  16. I think Simpson is very underrated (basically a lot of people seem to think he is worse than shit) but he is the weak link in our first 11.
  17. Despite the Ferguson thing being a bit of a running joke I agree with you about him looking the most impressive of the youth.
