  1. What? Fuck off You can still buy the games and stuff. It has to me man. It's been gathering dust in me wardrobe for about a year now man. Btw, no way is a VCR obsolete just yet. Recordable DVDs/Sky+ have only been common place in the last 3 years or so. You're right. In many ways, I still prefer fucking around with VHS cassettes than DVD+/-R's. More and more of my home entertainment is going through my pc now - even my expensive tosh dvd isnt getting hammered as much as it used to.
  2. I wouldnt mind too much if sam concentrated on filling out the squad (quantity) during this transfer window and then using januarys and next summers window to bring in the galacticos (quality). How long has it been since we had a full complement of squad players.

I'm clearly not a soopafan. I havnt really seen enough of him to judge if he's got the potential to make it or if shes just shite. Even then, youngsters who have immense potential can just fade away into obscurity.

  9. Dunno about you jimbo - but i thought this was tremendous. only just finished watching it, I thought it was superb ! Hope some more will be leaked ! Doesnt start being broadcast til 'early' next year. Thought the bit where the terminator starts dismantling the bank vault with his bare hands was great. and the bit where he carves open his leg and pulls out the hand gun whilst calling out the register in class, that was cool. Jimbo - you read this shite? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6911606.stm
  10. The odds are stacked against the kids making anything of themselves tbf, most of them will probably not be able to remember their parents ever being in employment which doesn't set a good example. Plus chances of the kids doing well educationally are also slim as I'm guessing the parents aren't the most gifted academically and they also couldn't possibly devote the time needed to help each child with their school work. Bung them in a boarding school. Is that a serious suggestion btw? Why not? Because of the absolutely enormous cost it would entail, obviously. As a family , theyre already costing an enormous amount. Why not invest in them as a future taxpayer? So, let's get this clear, you're saying families like thisshould get private education at the expense of the taxpayer? I honestly can't believe what I'm reading here. It would be way in excess of the £44k they already get btw. Why can't they just go to a state school? Or am I missing something? the parents get 44k now yeah? and how much in benefits will the kids get when they are unemployed and start making theyre own families? What if one of the young lassies wants to be just her mam and raise 12 kids? whats the future cost of that gonna be? what if one of the boys turns to a life of crime? how much will that cost our future society? maybe boarding school is a shite idea but is investing in a decent education for the bairns? Makes sense to me.

Bung them in a boarding school. Is that a serious suggestion btw? Why not? Put the 6 eldest in a boarding school - the family can then move back into a 3 or 4 bed semi with corresponding decrease in benefits received. the 6 eldest children then grow up with a very good education and want to make something of themselves and contribute something back into society. Essentially what you're suggesting is a Borstal for kids whose parents are on benefits. Well, maybe not quite something so 'institutional' but why not a regular boarding school? Invest in an education for the bairns and society will (hopefully) see a return on that investment.

  15. If I understand you right, you're saying we should ensure these kids don't sink into a life of poverty, benefit claiming or even worse criminality. And the way to do that is to provide the best that we, as a society, can for them. In essence yes. Educate the 'state pays for all' mentality out of them.
  16. Look at the example they are being set !!! i know!!! but thats 12 future contributing members of society that could either be brought up to expect everything from the state or to provide for themselves.
  17. To sum up my point: Why concentrate on getting the parents back into work? Thats just 2 taxpayers (assuming youd get them both back to work). Why not concentrate instead on the 12 potential future taxpayers?
  18. We don't have strippers in Whitley Bay, we have exotic dancers There used to be some good old hags getting their kit off in The Ferry pub in S.Shields on a Sunday. And, Christ what was it called - also in S.Shields? (it'll come to me). And in the pub up from Wallsend dry dock. And the list goes on. But the best one I remember was a lass in a pub in Aberdeen one time - absolutely fantastic body *drools*. The ship? Rougher than a badgers arse in there.
  19. I'm pretty randy now but when i was younger it was mental. Couldnt go to work without first having a wank in the morning as if i didnt i'd just end up walking round with a stiffy all day. Once had to have wank standing up in a cubicle in the bogs.
