  9. Knobgobbler! I am more than capable of intelligent debate, I just pick my spots. I come on here to escape the drudgery of work, not to engage in further drudgery with the likes of you. i thought you did some work to escape the drudgery of toontastic.....
  10. Aye that's probably right given that sustained top speed for that distance, but that goes back to what I said, it's about acceleration/deceleration both how much you can accelerate/decelerate (in the context of how much you can generate and sustain.... and indeed survive if manned). There's a LOT more room for acceleration and deceleration (and therefore top speed and total overall speed) in 20 light years than there is for in 384400 km and 25000 mph would be pretty slow in that context, the only issue limiting your top speed at a certain rate of acceleration/deceleration being all sorts of shielding issues the closer you got to the speed of light. Plus remember that anything we built to go there would be built in orbit, not launched from the Earth and to it in one go like the Moon missions (like any manned mission to say Mars would likely be), which makes a huge difference to the "speeds" possible. It's still completely unfeasible to reach there in a human life time though isn't it? Hell, even if you went half the speed of light it would be half a lifetime. Not to mention the fact that so far we don't even have the technology to reach mars. arnt the americans booking their holidays there in 20 years time?
  11. Rocky - just got the new 2 disc definitive version. great stuff
  12. Dropped that bollock a couple of times, bought stuff then went to pay for it only to discover they don't have a paypal account, amateurs tbh this bloke did accept paypal though - his personal website had some sort of paypal checkout system.
  13. ebay are bastards tbh - loads of fake dvds especially. i'm currently in a dispute with a seller as i bought an item and he said he accepted paypal but when i went to paypal it said it wouldnt accept my payment and to go to another site where i would be able to pay through paypal. ive all but told this bloke to fuck off as i'm only gonna pay for stuff through www.paypal.com i also hate the feedback system - sellers should be forced to leave feedback as soon as they have posted your item. as the buyer i do not leave feedback until the seller has left theirs first. ive a feedback count of 89 at the mo and if all the sellers gave me their feedback it would be over a ton.
  14. This bloke cost 75k and is my backup striker!
  15. in a few days time they'll be a story about how niall quinn ran into the fire to rescue an old woman - FACT!
  16. Facinating stuff - but i thought they foulnd those microbes on mars thus proving theres was life on other planets.
  17. Well the way it stands we're going to have one central defender (Taylor) left at the end of the season. Can we really afford to bring in three centre backs, a right back, a left back, and another striker? And we also seem to be crying out for some creativity in centre midfield. In an ideal world Bramble should be shown the door, but this isn't an ideal world. Yeah but that would mean offering him a new contract, possibly meaning he'd be here for several more years, which would be a nightmare. And I highly doubt he's on a pittance either. I'd much rather we go for the Gooch than risk keeping Bramble. I'd much rather we bought a left back, right back 3 centre halves, one central midfielder, a right winger and sorted out the Guinness in the Leazes. And how do we achieve that with a transfer budget of 5 cheese and onion pasties and 3 cheese and bacon wraps?
