I agree you could see the players relief at the end yesterday, they should be able to play with more freedom, owen score again so I think we could pick up a few points over the next few weeks to make us safe.

If we go down we are knacked look at teams like wolves, leeds, sheff wed and shefff utd, we can forget about this new miracle rise again lets stay up and do what portsmouth are doing. I do not care how we stay up as long a we do. There is two months of the season left so much will happen

I completely agree with the above comment lets get behind the team i think one win will make a huge difference when it comes lets hope at birmingham with owen scoring along with martins

I do not post very often on the board but do read alot of post, as like most people I have been very disappointed with this season to say the least, but want to try and be positive and say that we will stay up it is not for certain but all I read is that we will get beat in every game, well if that what everyone think we should pack up and go home and stop complaining becasue there is not we can do about it, because it will never get better. i have looked at all the games left and starting with Birmaingham we can get points, then the homes games with Reading and Fulham we can get wins, not saying we will but we can then with portsmouth getting to the semi final we play them the next week, we could go there and get something if they go to the cup final. So all I am saying is left hope that the players fire so 3 or 4 games we ge to the summer and then we can start to look forward and try to get ourselves out of this constant malaise and downbeat attitude that we appear to be in. you never know we may go to birmaingham and win.

I do not post that often, though I am not a big fan of Big Sam, I think we are going to win on Sunday, and I think we may end up winning well. It the FA cup so I think we should go with hope, we got to the Final with two managers Guillt and Daglish that not many people like so we can all hope and dream, and come sunday evening I think we will be in the fourth round of the cup, lets get behind the lads and worry about how crap we play and the manager is when we are playing league games.

It is going to take time I think we are just realising how bad we have been for the last couple of years so I agree i this season may be a write though I think we will play well in patches and bad in other though we have to stick with it all the side whoa re getting better like blackburn and portsmouth have had bad times and got better do we want to go down the spurs route change everything and throw all the toys out the pram and still get no where. success is longer comes quickly you have to build a team and then that team has to learn to play together. if you take out the top four there is not alot difference between the other sides beside the absolute crap at the bottom so patience is the way forward.

We were crap today but we knew it was coming and we would get days like this season we have a new team and coach. Lets look at the facts Big Sam has proven he is good a getting results over time. If it had not been for Martins last season we could well have been relegated. By all accounts he was crap last week so that why he started with him on the bench. Personally I would always set with him at home as Owen as seen today is not a quick as he use to be. Also the idea of people starting to call for the mamager to go is madness because all we will do is go around in circles. No one in the tops 6 or 7 clubs has a new manager except Man city who have move forward though they were better than us last season. We have to let Big sam have time to do his stuff. It will almost certainly take 2 to 3 years an along the way we will have good and bad days.

Fulham game we had book 7pm train back, just look there is a 8.30pm train and it only takes 30 mins from putney bridge to kings cross, so we should be able to get the train. still i wish they would plan the tv games earlier

I cannot understand the booing, We defend much better than we have done for many years, we look organised, we were so bad last years, that it is going to take time. At the minute all the top sides havea good defence and build from there. Also Owen and Barton are not fit so lets see what happens.

Now for a question, best sale, Kevin Scott to Spurs for 800 grand or Dyer to West Ham for 8 million?. I still think Kevin Scott. though to get more for Dyer than we paid for him is a miracle.

Who cares about it. The first thing to say is it is great to be talking positively about the team again. I think the team wuill change as we go along.

I think to see a top quality right back and another centre back the serbian will do fine.

Do you not get the impression the press are strting to get desperate with newcastle?, because there is not the access to the club's movements there was a few months ago. I think this is great we are now going about our business like a top flight professional football club should.

There seems to be a plan like the second half after we scored, we clearly practiced being one up away from home, and if was very difficult to score against us.

We finally appear to have some professional business people in charge. This should mean the club is run in the right way and hopefully mean success on and off the pitch.

I thought Mort was only being loaned to Newcastl;e from Sports Direct to look at the Business then they were going to get someone else in. If so then he may be looking for a cheif executive like at Arsenal, Man Utd or Chelsea. We were a PLC so all the debt will have to have been public so there should be nothing hidden.

Ashley will want a return on his investment, the only way to do that in football is to have successful team. I think the press are looking for stories because they do not have the access into the club's dealing anymore because Sheppard last left and we are no longer a PLC. We should just wait and see what happens.

I enjoyed the match. i think we look like we are strting to moved some thing with the defence we need a left back but for the first time in a long time we a playing with a plan. it may take a while but I think we are moving forward and I am looking forward to this season alot more than the last 4 or 5.
