Forget that original post, I've just been reminded he was a Spud player so that explains it.

Lol, might as well have dug up Roy Kinnear!

David O'Dreary... just when you thought it couldn't get worse than Terry Vegetables. Whoever comes in needs to be accepting a match to match contract, anything more and it'll just get annoying when the new owners come in and want their own man in charge, be it Kev or whoever. Ho hum...

I still think Harry Bassett's a good bet

I'm with the blood money

Terry Vegetables... well I did enjoy how the Endland team of Euro 96 played.

Nestle is responsible for more violations of the World Health Assembly marketing requirements for baby foods than any other company. But I still enjoy a Kit Kat. While I'm coughing up the cash for baby killers, my priorities would feel out of whack boycotting Newcastle because the owner let Keegan walk. I have no problem with eating Kit-Kats or boycotting sales towards the club while Ashley's able to draw money from it. The players will play no matter what and how well they perform is likely to be more to do with the lack of a decent manager than any amount of fans turning up. I won't be sure Ashley's selling up until the ink's dry and the new owner's installed.

Reinstating Kevin Keegan would be the ultimate cop-out

It's this sort of shite that pisses me off to no end about the media, wank journo, wank story. -
Is she having a fucking laugh? He's bought 'big' this summer and they are playing wank Aye, had to chuckle at that bit too, where exactly are the Spuds in the league table?
-
I thought the big idea was not to go? Or was that only if tickets had to be paid for? I suppose if they're free then it'll make no difference to Ashley's pocket - BUT NO BUYING STUFF INSIDE THE GROUND
-
Let's face it, Ashley will probably try and sell us to the biggest bunch of scumbags he can find just because he's got the arse.

I'm still laughing at the free ring dings

NUFC owner Ashley calls in football's Mr Fixit

A bit of professionalism at long last Lol, might as well stick a hand-written 'For Sale' sign in the foyer window while they're at it -
Im all for steadying the ship as such but throwing a contract at a bad manager for the sake of it is silly wouldnt you say? Here's my take on it. A managerless club is a club in crisis. Nobody knows who's in charge. Nobody will want to buy a club in crisis, and the players and fans will rapidly lose confidence just as we are doing now. By having a manager, we at least give the appearance of functioning as a normal club should. And you have to ask one question of any potential appointment: can he make the situation any worse? I don't think Zico can, myself. It's a catch 22 situation, it's likely that no manager will touch us until we have a new owner in and at the same time a rudderless ship isn't attractive to potential buyers. Bring in Captain Pugwash!

Quotation marks. Means they have it on record. If there were no quotation marks it would have been looked on with scorn. Not always. I know what you're on about but I've seen quotes in the past of such nature be proved false. I can't see them making up a solicitors statement, clearly he did say this word for word (and given the guy sat there with a huge smirk on his face vs Hull, and with all that's been said about him by people that have had dealing with him it's not exactly out of character for him, in fact it's pretty much expected). Is it me or does Llambias look a little like Jim's dad from American pie? Obviously not a well-meaning as Jim's dad though, in fact a complete cunt.

Oh my good god, I've just read an article that said a consortium of Nigerian entrepreneurs are close to buying us... that'll be them fuckers who send out emails asking for people to transfer money for them! ... Edit: Ah crap, welcome me to 6:30pm this evening...
-
I think you're being a touch melodramatic there tbh. He's prolly right though tbh
-
That has made my day. Fuck you very much Ashley. Cunt! I thought that... then I thought hang on a minute, losing £300m might just make him that more reluctant to sell up unless he can make a big profit on us to cover his recent losses.

Bassett's a coming!

Press Release & radio Newcastle interview 4.10 today

I've got to say I don't believe this bollocks about Ashley saving us from financial ruin anyway, we were running in the same manner as many football clubs and had a debt, also the same as many football clubs - we weren't going to go under and we weren't going to 'do a Leeds'. Yes Ashely paid off most of the debts and that's great but it wasn't imperative that it had to be done or that we'd have been guaranteed to have gone under. All Ashley's done since arriving is pay off some debts that wouldn't have made a difference, restructure the club (badly) and lied through his teeth about what was going on and how things were working. I don't know if these people who are backing Ashley over Keegan weren't around for Keegan's first spell and maybe don't know him very well or whether they're just dumb-fucks who listen to the ill-informed 'Southern' press too much. It amazes me tbh. -

I thought it was a wind-up at first as "He's gone down in my estimation" is a line from the 'Love it!' interview. I was seething by the end of the first page, skim-read the second, and gave up in frustration and disbelief. I just don't understand them, have they missed everything that's gone on? It's like they've been in a cocoon, force-fed Pro-Ashley propaganda written by Llambias and his evil pixies... very fucking weird. -
welcome back fella. not much to report tbh. Cheers mate

See that's the thing isn't it, I mean it must be blatently obvious that we were doing great up until the point Kev left. On the face of it then if you owned a club, you wanted to be successful, the team was working and things were progressing, why mess with it? More to the point would you choose a Director of Football (ie Wise) over the Manager getting the actual results from the team (ie Keegan). Hmm, I'd have thought it was a no-brainer personally because fuck me, look what happened when you choose the wrong one - the team stop playing, the fans get pissed off and you end up looking no only like a complete cunt but a stupid, lying one at that.
