Newcastle United: Club Sold To PCP - Official
Billy Whitehurst replied to The Mighty Hog's topic in Newcastle Forum
I’m comparing one oppressive regime, where human rights abuses are rife with another oppressive regime where human rights abuses are rife, albeit it on a lower scale. You’re comparing them to a democratic country where, in the eyes of the law (although, maybe not in practice), everyone is equal. You’re talking utter bollocks and I reckon you would have been down the clubshop getting ‘MBS Bonesaw Boys’ on the back of your home shirt had the PIF purchase gone through. -

How about if someone offered you a trip to the Qatar or a holiday to Abu Dhabi or Dubai (all fairly oppressive regimes), would you take it? -

Yes, but that is the issue I have, it’s really easy to say that now that it isn’t happening. None of us were overly keen on MBS, but the thought of signing the big name players, the investment in the club and area, meant that we were willing to live with it even if we weren’t completely ok with it. -
Just a shame that Rodwell is no longer on their books.

Genuine question, as I can’t be arsed trawling through the thread, but were you dead set against the takeover before the bidder pulled out? Fair play, if so. Most people on here registered serious concerns over Saudi Arabia owning the club but I think were willing to hold their noses given how much shite we have had to put up with supporting us. I definitely agree that it would be sports washing and them owning us is not terribly palatable. However, the fact that there are a load of crooked owners in the PL already, and the whole league is no longer about football, I was in favour of the takeover even if any success would be sullied somewhat. I suspect a lot of us felt that this was one final chance of actually deriving any enjoyment out of watching us, let alone winning something, and meant that we were willing to go along with it. I appreciate that makes me a hypocrite but I’m at the point where I just can’t be bothered with it anymore so I’d be willing to live with the hypocrisy if it meant no longer having to watch the likes of Yedlin, Manquillo, Joelinton and Ritchie. -

I assume we’re all cancelling our Sky subscriptions and buying BeoutQ boxes? Next season is just going to be as awful as last, the PL is shite when the odds are stacked against you. I will give not one fuck if we get relegated next season. -
It won’t be nearly as complicated as all that. 25 million people were offered the flu jab last year in the UK and flu jabs don’t seem to cause capacity issues. If, say, 75% of people are offered it, then that is around 50 million so shouldn’t be too much of a problem given the extra capacity they’ll put on. You can get the flu jab in loads of places too (Boots, for instance).

First time I’ve betted on us for years, had the good sense to close it out at half time. That is what next season will be like if the takeover doesn’t go through. Indifference levels will go through the roof.

another bastard game of football already - Bournemouth away
Billy Whitehurst replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
Well I enjoyed that pretty much from start to finish, I can’t remember the last time I could say that. Almost everyone had a decent game. Saint-Maximin was a total bargain. Also, Fede Fernandez has been class all season. -

Isn’t it illegal to use them on public roads, pavements and cycle lanes? I think the police just turn a blind eye in London though as loads of people seem to have them. -

My old man is quite good friends with David Craig so I’ve met him quite a few and he is a really lovely bloke. I once met one of Aswad in Gatwick duty free - beat that! -
Good luck with. We just bought a new place and the key stipulation was that it needed as little as possible doing to it. The process of buying it is stressful enough, fuck having to then carry out major refurbishments.

Still, he’ll be buzzing when Games Workshop reopens on Monday.

Premier League Suspended Until 3rd April
Billy Whitehurst replied to trooper's topic in Newcastle Forum
So how long do you think it’s going to take before we all wish the season was over once we all start remembering just how shite we are? I reckon I’ll last part way through the Sheffield United match. 20 mins of watching the Brazilian, Joselu tribute act will probably do it for me. I’ll be yearning for a full Wuhan style lockdown after that. -
I particularly enjoyed the fact that his run up was downhill, the cheating bastard.

I think Al-Fayed took it when he sold Fulham. It’s in his back garden now alongside his Gary Glitter gnome and Rolf Harris memorial bird bath.

That’s the way I see it. It would open up a massive can of worms and I really can’t see the PL wanting to do that. It’s not like they are a bastion of integrity so I think the delay is them trying to give the impression that they are seriously considering the counter arguments, even though I doubt they are. I’m fairly sure it will go through but I’m not that bothered. On the one hand, I want Ashley out but, on the other hand, I agree with those who say it is sports washing so anything we achieve will be tarnished somewhat. However, there’s a load of dirty money swilling round the PL so other teams can get to fuck if they want to try and take the moral high ground. I think the main reason I want it to go through is so that we all get to witness the inevitable meltdown from Richard Keys. -
The Japanese beers are lovely. Sapporo and Kirin are really nice too. The Japanese lovely their quality booze.

Just remember though, it’s us left leaning snowflakes who are the elite, definitely not old scrotes like this.

Good for them man, it’s a nice story. They probably have to put up with all manner of judgemental shit in their lives, so it’s great that they’re going to become parents.

I have thought quite a bit about this Cummings debacle and quite clearly he should sacked or should resign, but I don’t really care if he does or doesn’t. I realise the argument that if he doesn’t then it sends a signal that there is one rule for us and one rule for them but, that is the reality, and this episode unequivocally proves this. I’ve always thought they do live by a different set of rules and moral standards. Johnson has been sacked for lying on at least one occasion, he won’t admit to how many kids he has, he talked with Darius Guppy about knobbling a journalist, cheated on his wife when she was getting cancer treatment. The list is endless for that lazy fat cunt. Gove is a serial back stabber, knowingly broke electoral funding laws, fiddled his expenses, used private e-mails for govt business. Raab wrote a book about how the British are the laziest people in Europe, Patel held secretive meetings with Israel. Shapps has used two different aliases to undertake different roles. These are only the things off the top of my head, the others are probably crooked, are fiddlers, engage in bestiality, have killed a tramp, or a combination of these. They’re all sociopaths and, in spite of all these things, have still risen to the top of British politics. Hopefully, the good thing to come of this is that people finally wake up to the fact that we’re not all in this together. There is an elite, and those people who rail against it are the elite. That should now be as clear as day to people. I appreciate a large portion of the country don’t have the mental capacity for critical thinking but this should at least convince enough to at least turn the tide against these self serving cunts.

I’m also a King Kev fan boy. My all time favourite man in football.
