Comparing Final Destination and Saw is like chalk to cheese. Depending on your interpretation of events, there is little or no empathy to be felt towards the characters. They're in the situation because they don't appreciate life, which, similar to Se7en is the intention of the "killer" John 'Jigsaw' Kramer. Whether they survive or not is up to them. Considering it was the first real film Whannel and Wan did together, what's there is a clever film. There was no intention to shock the audience, in so far as gore is concerned. Against some of the other more gorier films of the genre, the film isn't ridiculous and improbable, and the sense that it's believable creates the thrill and tension. Saw will always be one of my favourite films because of its sheer simplicity. The painstakingly obvious resolution only became adamant right at the end of the film for me, and was a pure forehead-slapping moment. At no point during the film did I think: "God, the acting sucks. God, they're just trying to shock me." Saw isn't really all too extreme, and because they didn't have the budget to incorporate CGI, i was all the more believable. Who cares if Cary is a crap actor? You don't need a Brad Pitt or Mel Gibson to make a film good. The film had Danny Glover in it ffs, but it still works for me. Kevin Costner is shit; but he's still been in some class movies. The Hannibal Lector series in particular stands out as excellent films in the horror genre, yet Hannibal and Jigsaw are somewhat similar. Jigsaw is also intelligent and pragmatic, yet because one is played by Tobin Bell, and one by Anthony Hopkins the film suffers? I'm a horror fan, and the recent trend of film makers trying to put as much gore in as possible concerns me. If the Saw franchise goes past 3 movies, I'll stop watching, as it'd spoil the first film for me.

What the fuck has my liking of Cradle of Filth got to do with anything? Do they provide the soundtrack for the movie? Do they star in it? The script is brilliant, and the acting is certainly not laughable. The film merely sets out to entertain on a shoestring budget, which it does. If you don't like it, fair rnough, but that certainly doesnt make it shite does it? Fucktard. 155148 its fair enough to have a different opinion but then Im a Fucktard? all because I dont like a film you do Brock? Cradle of Filth has nothing to do with the movie , never said it did.. it has everything to do with your lack of taste though little fella.... calm down its supposed to be a light hearted joke. If you look at the first post you'll see a little smiley face sticking his tongue out. its a slasher movie, the script is far from brilliant, it doesnt need to be but dont dress it up. Cary Elwes is one of the worst actors ever, he outdoes himself in Saw. Again, the sequel stars Donnie Wahlberg ffs! calm down, ring the german girl and snap one off into a sock 155152 SLASHER MOVIE??? Friday the 13th is a slasher movie. Saw is more of a thriller/suspense film. Script not good? Sure. Next you'll be saying A.I. is a good movie.

They've been shit throughout the tournament. Hardly an advertisement for Ukrainian football.

Shame he hasn't broken it. Would give us a chance against Portugal.

But it is a cult movie! Judging by the amount of money it's made and the width of the fanbase, it's convinced them to buy out web domains up to Saw 9. Although Leigh Whannel and James Wan wont continue after Saw 3. I also think making 9 movies would ruin the franchise. 3 is quite enough.

Don't you think you blew your argument out of the water by listing the films you're looking forward to? Don't think I'm your replacement Crimson Fault, there's nee point in me trying to convince you that Saw is a quality movie when you don't want to listen.

Tried shaving once, ended up with a cut on me midshaft.

He'll be back in 2009 apparently.

Actually, if you don't like the first film, it's your views on films that are called into question. I'm part of a majority here. It's a cult movie ffs.

he's not an Emo, he's a spider-man why did you think he was an australian flightless bird? and the last two films weren't shit, if you don't like the genre then that's fine and dandy. you just don't like it because there was no deathmetal in the sound track 154801 I may have exaggerated in saying the first 2 were shit, as I did enjoy the first one but they are still both overrated imo. I'm more of a black metal fan at present anyway, mind you, Stone Sour provided a song for Spiderman 2 (Bother) and the lead singer, Corey Taylor is also the lead singer of Slipknot. I do like the genre, which is why I'm worried by his haircut and black suit. It just doesn't look like Spiderman.

Haven't been sleeping well as of late so am always

Why is he an emo? Why is he black? This film will be shit, just like the last 2.
