  1. Is this a discussion board or a "comedy" points scoring board ??? If the latter all should adjourn to Skunkers at least you can threaten death (in novel and inventive ways) over there.
  2. Due to the EBT's Rangers had been underpaying PAYE/NI for many years, the assessment of withheld/unpaid tax was for around £14/£16 Million (I forget exactly). That sum was accepted and agreed by Rangers (Murray) but then HMRC imposed cumulative and punitive penalties onto that sum of about £25 Million, due to the duration of time of the original offence (around this time several English clubs notably, us and Chelsea iirc, coughed up sums related to EBT's to HMRC to avoid punitive penalties). Rangers appealed the level of the penalties (the additional £25Mill) but not the assessment of unpaid tax. This appeal was in motion when Administration happened and as such the whole liability of the assessed sum PLUS the penalties had to be accounted for as a liability by the Administration process. Even if the appeal had been heard, and won, before the Administration event, the amount due on the agreed liability (the £14-£16 Mill) would still have made HMRC the major creditor and they would still have denied the CVA and liquidation would have been exactly the same as it was. In regard to the £20 Mill Dave King is supposed to be owed, if he had put in his claim before the CVA he could have effected the outcome of that CVA vote, as his £20Mill plus other creditors could likely have outvoted HMRC, but he didn't, he waited until after the CVA to add his claim to the pot, and he even campaigned for fans NOT to support the CVA, he absolutely wanted the liquidation to happen (maybe thinking he could be rid of all the debt and his mates "the Blue Knights" could pick everything back up for peanuts, obviously not realising it was already stitched up by Charlie Green etc.) The sale of assets out of the liquidation is definitely dodgy as fuck, BUT that liquidation was inevitable with or without the appeal against HMRC. Strangely the one person who could have actually made a difference to that is Mr Dave King. On the subject of the EBT's Souness got a payment via EBT from Rangers for about £100K whilst he as our manager, around the time we bought Boumsong, obviously everything was above board though!!!
  3. Check their rate against Travelex. BA used to offer decent rates for their Exec club members but if you went to order them it turned out it was through Travelex and on checking Travelex's own online rate was better. Although Virgin probably do it through their own banking arm, would check the Virgin money rate as well though. Last time I went over there, Ramsdens of all people, were the best rate. The Mrs wasn't happy going in there to collect it mind.
  4. Carlisle player, Chris Balderstone I think.
  5. Ken Hom's chow mein recipe is a cracker
  6. Russia got mashed in Afghanistan too, as has just about everyone from Alexander the Great onwards. Huge difference between Afghanistan and Ukraine in terms of the suitability of the landscape for modern armies to operate. This Cornwall thing (oh aye! spotted off Cornwall, tracked from Russian airspace more like) just like the 70's, was daily occurrence back then, Russian plane swans about in international airspace, turns towards UK, fighters scramble and escort it away, pilots waving to each other.
  7. Based upon the occasional photo's that appeared online, of him out and about (usually in nightclubs/bars) his family must be composed mainly of young perma-tanned women.
  8. The corruption is way more interesting than games these days.
  9. Offended, Oh I am sorry, do you ever read Bears Den btw ? Anyway on the second point of other funding being available. Based on the losses youre making and the fact there is no money in the bank, if someone calls in their loans that funding is going to need to be around £16/18 Million (my estimate- £10Mill to Sd plus around £2+Mill/month operating costs) just to pay off the debts to SD and to get to season ticket time. Even in that event SD will still control Retail anyway unless that also is bought out for even more moolah, given RR is now a separate company to all intents and purposes controlled by SD. Even if Dave King wins the EGM, Id be quite surprised if his endgame isnt Admin at some point to try and rid him of the onerous contracts (if they havent been called in). That is if he can even stand as a director, we know the SFA will bow down as they always have, but the law in respect of Phoenix companies may not (and that would apply to Murray as well). Theres talk of yet another share issue, that would need 75% shareholder approval, even if they lose the EGM the Ashley and Easdale group shareholdings can block that and the only choice then would be either King and the 3 Bears pour cash in or an insolvency event. An insolvency event is still a possibility IMO, whatever happens at the EGM (if it takes place).
  10. And potentially costly, Huns subscribe to Rangers first who then buy shares, if the end game is an insolvency event through which Ashley has security on the major assets and trademarks etc. The shares RF are buying could end up being worthless.
  11. It matters hugely. If it's out of Rangers pocket their debt to SD increases via putting more money into Ashley via NUFC.
  12. That's why who is paying for the loan players is important. It doesn't appear to be to Ashley's benefit to do TRFC a favour, it would seem to be in his interest to have them owe him more money as he is in firmer control over what makes money (or what has value) increases. They are overspending (losing) £800K a month, that shortfall is covered by loans from SD secured on the retail business (which is profitable) and all the assets of worth of TRFC (excluding £1brox). If TRFC are paying for the loaned players they are using the money loaned by SD (Ashley), so in effect are paying NUFC (Ashley) for the privilege, but not reducing, but likely increasing, their indebtedness to SD (Ashley). If NUFC are picking up the tab, that would be outrageous and would certainly increase evidence of undue influence.
  13. It's delicious, because I fucking despise the two bigoted arse cheeks in Glasgow and having followed the Rangers saga closely the enablement granted to them by the authorities during the whole corrupt fiasco is unreal. The fact that Rangers are now victims of the emperor of bloodsucking cunts, having been that themselves to the game in Scotland, with SFA complicity going back to Murray and his BoS relationship, is what is delicious.
  14. It's regular competitive football at a higher level than the U21's but I doubt the player development had much to do with it. Anyone heard if any loan fees involved ?? Ashley (via SD) loans "The Rangers" money to keep the lights on, yet any fees for these players come to NUFC (i.e. Ashley) so he could be actually using up some of those emergency loans to pay himself back via the NUFC player fees and wages savings, but (and this is the good bit) Rangers would still owe him the full amount. Which is delicious if it's what he's doing.
  15. Related to that evidently, anyway, no doubt the content will surface again on Skunkers as the lad who posted has put it up on FB (I'm not linked to can't see it) that poster has been given a temporary ban, which is in itself causing consternation as Skunkers is supposed to have a no banning under any circumstances policy.
