I know, it was a sad moment. He was a legend in his own right, but it's understanable why he left, and has since been showing superb form at Villa.

If we could simply swap Jenas for Carrick, we'd have got a bargain. But you never know, Carrick may not peform well for us and Jenas may find his form at Spurs - the stuff he threatened 2 or 3 years ago.

I'm all happy we're getting a nice haul of new players (well done Freddy and Graeme), but I'm only hopeful they play well and the team does. We don't want poor performances like the ManU game when we've got several quality players in black and white not making any chances or doing anything of much note. Look at the players of Everton's squad for example, and see how far they got.

But he has reinvented himself last season, and I still find him defintely a better player than Jenas... he seemed like someone who played crap the first half of the season in recnet seasons before having a standout performance and scroing a couple of great goals.
