2006 BBC Sports Personality of the Year award
TheInspiration replied to Happy Face's topic in General Chat
Yup, and of course you've swam right across them. -
I'm not really upset. Just used the term "sick" as Renton did, plus I get enough cuddly man-love every day against my will, but thanks all the same. And I wasn't saying it was you who was hypocritical anyway Renton.
-
I would have said him too. Also great how he always plays with a smile on his face. Looks like a monster when he bowls, but a great sportsman.
-
Without disagreeing with your obvious opinion on the thread topic, I'm sick of hypocrisy from some non-religious people. Nobody seemed to complain a few weeks ago when people tried to get Christian Unions in universities banned. That's a ridiculous idea if ever I saw one.

Can't way to see him come on in the 85th minute to turn the game around.

I only suggested him as no-one else has achieved much this year. You really are a twat. I'm unsure as to who deserves it, but Walliams is no way a ridiculous suggestion. Even if he's not a sportsman swimming the channel is one massive achievement. Sima's probably never gone further south than Leeds, and so thinks it's a little puddle seperating the two countries. There's my personal mongo comment. Anyway, if it's about "personality" then surely Monty Panesar. Murray has no personality, and even if it was about ability, then still unsure what he's done other than beating the world number three, in a Wimbledon second-round match, or whatever it was. -
Firewind - Falling To Pieces Saw them supporting Dragonforce last week. Good stuff.

Newcastle plan audacious Shevchenko swoop.

I thought this was quite funny also. http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...1738851,00.html I'm so immature. -
To be fair, he answers the questions he's asked. He's not going to change the topic to Newcastle just to keep the fans happy. Though I do wonder how high we actually are on his priorities.

Good to see the NOTW have a sense of humour. Shame it isn't that funny. -
I know I am vertically challenged but no need to get personal.. I'm sorry. You can call me a lanky streak of piss if you like. As for Kerzhakov, he is about the same height as Owen and Martins, maybe a bit taller.
-
Shortarse tbh.
-
I don't get all this Zog was rubbish stuff I'm hearing. I thought he played quite well personally - okay he lacked end-product, but he was constantly running and worked his socks off throughout. In the first half he had the Frankfurt right-back in his pocket. Compare what we saw from him yesterday to what we saw from Luque.
-
Just beggars belief how sickeningly cruel that is. I suppose it's also a form of abortion too...
-
Bit of an overstatement tbh. There's barely a Newcastle fan that wouldn't have named Parker as our best player last season so no I don't think it's an overstatement at all. Though I'm sure you'll disagree. I can't see how anyone would have named him ahead of Given.
-
Game been switched to Wednesday December 13th I believe.

Tbh I've been saying for ages people can't just blame Emre for unconvincing performances. It's frankly ridiculous that he should play behind Parker in the midfield, which is just an example of Roeder's blinded favouritism for the latter. Most appearances Emre has had when not alongside Parker, he's done a fine job. Emre at his best is non doubt an asset and a player who can make many more things happen than Parker, who is also a very good player.

Solano looks like a proper cultured right back. Puts Stephen Carr to shame. Mind if he comes up against a flyer on the wing he'd maybe have a shit afternoon of it, but I reckon his football brain will probably get him out of a lot of scrapes that Carr wouldn't be able to cope with. I would hope we've seen the last of that idiot at right back. Nail on head tbh.
-
Tbh he made an awful clearance in the first half, which went straight to Kanu, who could have scored.
-
As incorrect as it is that he's shit, we looked a whole lot better with Butt and Emre in the centre.
-
I agree. I felt physically sick at that.

The Antoine Sibierski appreciation thread
TheInspiration replied to TheInspiration's topic in Newcastle Forum
Sibierski my hero. -
I agree. He did pretty much everything but score. Very clever finish, when the goal should have counted - highlighted an unfortunate afternoon. Went on a great run which lead to the goal, had a great turn and shot, and showed all round great control. I'm confident he'll come good. No doubt there will be people who will find very small things about him to criticise and doubt he's much good etc.

He's becoming a bit of a legend, and yet again we have him to thank for steering us towards a victory. Keep it up big fella!
