  1. White dog poo. British Knights trainers. Remote controls actually attached to the television.
  2. we need a flair player though. bad attitude or not, we're desparately short of pace and guile in attack. We looked alright on Sunday Having said that, I'm worried that the quality of Routledge's and Gutierrez's crossing has got a lot worse since the end of last season.
  3. It is believable because only a footballer would seek to renegotiate an existing deal after the event. A £1m pot would equal 40k a man, are they really going to go on strike over an extra 20k on top of that?
  4. ashley only has himself to blame. No cash turnstiles is an odd decision..
  5. It's tache banter.. He's walking towards Smith, who's also been growing a tache.
  6. That's two thoroughly excellent performances for me.. His touch has improved, he's bringing other players in to it. Unplayable at times...
  7. Perch looks a lot more composed against Downing than Nani and Evra, which is understandable to be honest...
  8. unrecognisable from the team that last played villa...
  9. It's an awfully long time since a thread about a player we haven't signed stretched to 36 pages. He must be brilliant
  10. Clicky! Take a look 45" in, geordie is ready rumble!!
  11. At least 6. The cup semi-final in 2005 was no better than yesterday's performance. Last time we were competing with them was under Robson (probably the game where Keane was sent off having tried to lamp Shearer) and even then they always just had the edge. We have had a few beatings by them, but the difference was that we had a quality enough to have a go and think we had a chance to give as good as we got. The worst thing of all is just to sit back and accept inferiority and be happy to keep the score down. Which is pretty much what Hughton said before the game too. Nice guy, but is this the attitude infiltrating out of the club these days. We are Newcastle, not Stoke or Blackburn or Bolton. We have to play these teams at their own game and we must have players in the team that they themselves would want to have. i agree, but that's not going to happen as long as the fat cockney twat is in charge We've haven't truly matched them since KK was in charge. Re: Leazes point in bold, I don't think that Hughton sent them out in a negative way to sit back as deep as we did. The problem is that we were playing against WORLD CLASS footballers and they force that upon you. . The only way we were going to get anything from the game was to try to keep them out at one and and counter attack/rely on set pieces at the other end. Suggesting we should be going at them is a nonesense, they crave stretched games where they can take advantage of space
  12. I didn't think either of them were that bad tbh and they'll rarely face such a terrifying front line. But both need to realise that they can't play their way out of trouble/take liberties, like they did last season.
  13. I thought Carroll was excellent last night, that chance aside. Guthrie has to come in for me, if only for his set piece delivery, which will be important if we are to stay up...
  14. It is impossible to judge where we are on last nights game, we won't be the last side to go there and lose 3-0, but there will be plenty of teams who won't go there and have 8 shots (4 on target). Perch basically faced the toughest game of the season. Not only is he marking Nani, he's also got Barton and Routledge in front of him who didn't fancy tracking Evra, which certainly led to the second goal and arguably they have a responsibility to get closer to Giggs. I'm not suggesting he is good enough, but just there is no tougher examination then last night.
  15. he uses the cloughie bottle of brandy team talk every week, only he forgets to share it.
  16. Carroll looks a "proper player". Whilst he should have scored, otherwise his workrate and all round play has been excellent
  17. in truth, i've seen us more outplayed than this at old trafford...
  18. willy's had a decent game, given the oppo
