  1. Latest name I heard was Jason Puncheon. I had to google it, but Southampton midfielder latterly on loan at Millwall, where he scored 5 goals in seven games.
  2. He comes across as likeable on screen, but I'd bet my house that he is a right c*nt off-air.
  3. Older than the Pennines like. Slags Bramble off IIRC.
  4. Not convinced he'll be replaced. Gosling and Barton can both play there.
  5. I remember he played well and scored at SJP against Ukraine 3 nothing. That might be it.
  6. The best performance I've ever seen from SWP was for England at SJP (Azerbijan??) when he played up front for a big chunk of the match. Looked excellent.
  7. Couldn't that be less about signing a player from West Ham and more about the fact we looked like we have strength in depth and therefore don't need another player? Freddy Sears is mentioned in the Chron.
  8. What sort of criteria is 'well he used to come in my casino' a basis for picking a manager of a football club?
  9. Another cheap appointment no doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if he's wants less than Hughton was asking for. Fucking joke like, Curbishley, Shearer, Hanson, Mullery, Irvine ... but not fucking Pardew.
  10. I think Stella has been on the winning team every week, which is pretty remarkable. She's head and shoulders above the rest for me. Laura, whilst cute, has repeatedly tried to shy away from decisions. "The brand" is hilariously awful.
  11. lightly whisk the cream and pour down the back of a teaspoon at the level of the coffee
  12. For those who are concerned about whether they'll be able to get to Waitrose, I've found Ocado tend to typify the English spirit at times of snowy crisis.

    Paris

Was in Paris a couple of weekends ago. Stayed at the Sofitel La Defence, excellent hotel and a bargain for a 5* at £150 a night. Downside is the neighbourhood is the CBD so it's quiet at weekends.
  14. Anyone know how long his 6 game suspended ban was for?
  15. Thirsty, anyone got on fresh water for me?
  16. Oh oh, I weigh the same as the TT giant. 6'3" and 17 stone (ish). Which means I'm fat. If there is any truth in big bones, that's what I've got.
  17. Might just be me, but there seems a bit of a conspiracy to give him a quick yellow in matches. Just summat I noticed. The last one was a joke...For a tiny bit of shirt pulling which is normally a telling off. It's an occupational hazard for a defensive midfielder. He makes a lot of tackles and he seems to have a football brain and knows when to take a booking for the team. He did remarkably well to get thru the Derby like.
  18. I said in the match thread that he was outstanding and is finally living up to the pricetag. I think his upturn in form is in part down to the fact he's had less to do this season than two seasons ago. Our midfield and full backs are all more solid, which is relieving the pressure on Colo.
  19. Not sure who spotted him but hats off he's excellent. We'll make a pretty tidy profit on that one. Didn't Hughton say he'd been sent to watch him by Keegan a while back and that he'd kept him in his mind and floowed him since then? Not heard that before.
  20. I actually think he's a very different player to Essien, he's a carbon copy of Makelele for me.
  21. Not sure who spotted him but hats off he's excellent. We'll make a pretty tidy profit on that one.
  22. Spot on. We've had much better squads in the past but the team spirit is unrivaled since KK first time round.
  23. Collocini was simply outstanding. No one foot wrong in 90 mins... I'd let him shag my wife..
