This story has to have come from somewhere and it's probably the club and less likely to be from the players.. It says to me that the club aren't too bothered by what's gone on and want the pair of them to stay on..

I thought that the youth only listened to modcasts on the pm3 player.

Not to be rude of course, but what age are you? Old enough to have heard Sir Les on the wireless But not old enough to understand the meaning of the word 'wireless'

Fair point which I'd forgot about. Typical though isnt it? I suppose things on the pitch were heading in the right direction so something had to be done Without Taylor or another member of NUFC staff reporting the incident I can't see the coppers getting involved. Having said that it won't sit well with a potential juror if he goes to trial. I'm sure those on here in the medical industry will confirm but don't doctors in A&E have a 'duty of care' to report incidents to the police where it clearly has been assault? I'm sure that is the case. But without a witness coming forward I personally can't see the police taking the case very far. Maybe not that case, but it can surely be used as a supporting argument in another case? My legal knowledge stretches no further than Judge Judy and A Few Good Men, but I'm fairly sure that in court they couldn't mention an unproved allegation in the case against him. As I said earlier though it would certainly not sit well for any juror who sits on his assault case.

Aye lets sell glass jaw, not the fella who hit him they should lock up taylor, hes clearly gone and nutted carrolls hand He did say "Based on playing ability alone" tbf. If only you were around to stick up for Wor Stevie Taylor.

Based on playing ability alone, I'd be shot of Taylor if I'm honest, but that doesn't take in to account that Carroll is clearly a Gateshead charver who's already smacked a team mate or two.

What a load of nonesense this is... The Northern Echo has clearly taken the decision not to mention Carroll in it's piece. http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/foo...aining_bust_up/ That's despite the author of the article naming Carroll on his Twitter feed last night and the article saying the offending player won't play tonight and then suggesting the following starting XI: NEWCASTLE (4-4-2): Harper; Simpson, Coloccini, Kadar, Enrique; Routledge, Nolan, Guthrie, Gutierrez; Best, Ranger.

Not for a rumour on a message board. That said they'd have been inundated with press calls by now.

Looks true doesn't it and if so it's cockendery of the highest order. Interesting to see how the club deal with it - Badly is my guess.

Usually this kind of thing happens on the training pitch. The odd thing is, Taylor's not even training yet.

I said in the Bristol City match thread that Best is simply trying too hard. He's clearly desperate to score and prove his worth, the problem is he's making bad decisions, like cutting back when he had a run on goal. Even when Jonas was one on one with the keeper, Best was actually in an offside position so that Jonas didn't have the option of passing to him and had to go round the keeper.
-
Best is clearly trying too hard, he lacks composure in front of goal. Andy Carroll has everything he needs to be a very very good footballer. Quite excited about him to be honest.

Having a quick scan at their website it seems that Forest have picked up a few defensive injuries at the same time. In all honesty the timing couldn't have been better as they were absolutely flying at one stage.

General consensus seems to be that Hughton is doing nothing special, and that just about any manager would have yielded the same or similar results with the gulf in the class of players in this league. With that in mind if we're promoted the fear is that once the results don't come so easy the players heads will drop and Hughton won't be able to motivate them, or make the necessary tactical adjustments required. its frightening to think the frenzy that would have been generated had Shearer been in charge and acheived exactly the same results. I admit I would have probably lost all perspective and be considering him some sort of management god, rather than Hughton who is being shrugged off as a innefectual bloke who got lucky. I think it's the manner of performances that has people worried. All too often, Hughton's been tactically suspect and we've really had to grind results out sometimes. If Shearer was here with the same points total and the same performances, I think people would be a bit concerned as well. What I would say is that Hughton has done exactly what it takes to get out of this division, he's built from the back and he's not lost many games. Yes one or two decisions have been suspect but he's made the team very difficult to beat and instilled a fighting spirit that was long since gone. I think anybody that witnessed the shambles that was Aston Villa on the last day of the season must have serious concerns over Shearer's ability to motivate players. To go out in the manner that we did was an absolute disgrace.
